Friendliest hotel I think I've ever stayed in.
1-Great employees, the staff really make the place, 2-Good location for local transport, 3-Stellar breakfast and home made shortbread in the rooms to have with tea.

Other than the bed I loved it. As I was leaving I told the manager about the bed being too hard and he said he'd have it changed out. End of problem. Altho the rooms are small they're beautifully designed and there's space for everything. You won't be swinging many cats in the shower but again, it's beautifully designed and fully functional. I honestly can't say enough good things about the staff. They were friendly, courteous, very helpful with directions and suggestions, and fun. At breakfast there were 13 jars of jams and honeys and the rest of the breakfast was fab with good qualities vittles. No complaints at all, loved it.

OK - though dont expect anything grand -

i booked a family room although travelling on my own and it was still very small and a bit stuffy.
no idea why they call it fir for a family.
the windows dont open properly, and the renovation although attempting to be nice and with a touch of 'design' is made by cheap materials which doesnt make you feel like youre in a hotel and paying as much as youre paying. which is a shame!
its well located, staff was friendly, but the room not really satisfactory.
if i can avoid it i wont be coming back.

A fleeting visit to London made manageable by comfortable accommodation in superb location.Recommend a 'Meantime India Pale Ale' at the bar.
