As said in the previous weeks the staff and the rooms in the new part ofthe hotel are very good The old part of hotel needs to be refurbished. I do not like staying in the old part of the hotel and would change if they only had rooms there. I find the staff in all parts of the hotel very good. Friendly and helpful and willing to please. However I do not agree with the fact that 12.5% is added to your food bill and not treated as discretionary. The rooms could improve with air conditioning oherwise I am happy the services incl the pool

Staff, rooms in the main building, close proximity to the barbican the annex very poor and in need of refurbishment I stay at the Thistle barbican every week and like the hotel as the staff in the main are very good. The rooms in the main hotel are very clean modern and a good size.
The breakfast is a bit of a hit or a miss and is invariably not fresh. I tend not to eat breakfast for that very reason
The food menu in the bar is varied and the quality is good

Very good price!!large room with big windows (our room had a window even in bathroom!! Rooms in 6th floor haven't been renovated as some other floors, so the decoration and the whole feeling remembers 90's.Breakfast, really poor!! if someone wants to stay in the specific area of London for a few nights, i strongly recommended it, especially if you got a very good online price!!!

Take the Heathrow Express or Picadilly line into London, then take the Northern, Metropolitan, Circle or Hammersmith and City Line to Old Street or Barbican. Thistle City Barbican is on Central Street, 10 minutes walk from either tube station. There is also a shuttle service running from Old Street to the hotel, then to Barbican and back to Old Street. The service runs from 7.10am -10am and from 5pm - 8pm.
