A former General Hall of Residence, this stately Edwardian property offers low-cost accommodation close to the Thames and St James Park. A five-minute walk from Victoria and St James's tube stations, the Wellington Hotel offers a relaxed, dorm-like atmosphere with excellent access to London's major sights. Rooms are equipped with sinks and TVs and views of Vincent Square, while bathroom amenities are shared on each floor and kept scrupulously clean. The surrounding area is quiet and green and guests can walk to Buckingham Palace and the Mall within 15 minutes. Internet is available in the lobby.

- Good beds - Have a good breakfast - clean bathroom
- No elevator - write castle / cupboard for battered
We were very satisfied with their stay. Surprised by the fine bathroom, which was kept clean. Also breakfast was top notch. Had expected toast with tea / coffee, but was greeted by a buffet with fresh fruit, etc. The beds were fine, but a desk and closet could have been switched off - was somewhat worn. Service at reception was also in order. All in all, we were satisfied and we will not deny that we come back.

It is a hostel and not a hotel, but is cheap, but a bit old. Use if you do not bring much money. The bathroom is clean.
