Clean room, excellent breakfast with harbour view
Excellent breakfast with choice of numerous dishes. Location right on the harbour, so there was plenty for us to do right there without a car. Good variety of restaurants for lunch and dinner near the hotel.

my cousin and i found the twin room comfortable and the beds were far enough apart for us both to get a good night's sleep. in a world where so much accommodation centres around couples, it's sometimes difficult to get a room suitable for two people who know one another well enough to share, but want a bit of privacy. the bathroom was located by the door to the room and so well away from the beds which was a plus in this regard.
the only negative was that check-in was done by a young staff member who failed to tell us we had to book for breakfast by that evening in order to get us the discounted rate. we found this out when we went to reception the following morning. the manager relented when we said we hadn't been told about the need to book the previous night and let us have breakfast at the discount rate. it really was excellent value - numerous dishes to choose from and a fabulous 1st floor view of poole harbour.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The location of the hotel is excellent if you are catching the ferry to the Channel Island the next day either with a car, or like us as foot passengers. There was time for us to do a boat trip to Brownsea Island the afternoon before the ferry.
