Amazing location. Convenient hotel

Amazing location. Very convenient. Free wifi
Good hotel in a perfect spot. 2 minutes from kings cross station. Nice quiet rooms, shared bathroom was ok. Good for a night or 2 for convenience. Food and drinks, restaurants, cafes, convenient stores, fast food all within a stones throw

Convenience but not worth it

Price. Location.
Relatively cheap for this area. But you pay for what you get. Carpet had weird scent. Old facility. Dirty bedsheets. Lack of service. Won't go again.

OK for 1-2 nights, beware of the receptionist

It would have been better if the receptionist hadn't tried to scam me into double payment. The bed looked inviting and comfortable, but the mattress turned out to be worn out. There was hair in the bathroom and hair in the linen, although the linen was washed. Not as gross as it sounds, perfectly survivable for couple of nights, but if you are looking for a longer stay, look further.

Shoe box

One over a dozen... Kind of place were you check in at one place and sleep at 50m away from it... Shoe bow at the last floor, wash room and toilets outside the room, shared Everything is said... definitively not 3 stars

Very basic

On arrival was impressed by the Excelsior decor, however on checking in was told that a problem had occurred in the room (a leak) and that an alternative room was available in the hotel next door! This hotel was shock horror! The room was cold sparse and grim, with no tea/coffee! The shower room was tiny! It was not unclean but could not have stayed longer than a night! The only good thing I can say is the location suited my needs, other than that Grim!

Good location, small room, over priced

Location Location Location
The hotel has very small rooms but clean just acceptable for one person but i dont know how a couple would cope with the small size. The price is high for such a small room but i guess that is because of its location just neat the international rail station. I think it is only suitable for a one or two nite stay prior to catching the euro star to europe.

Friendly staff, adequate room & breakfast.

The staff & the location only.
For a quad room (2 double beds) the bathroom was tiny - even by London standards. The breakfast (in another hotel across the square) should be avoided & a lie in taken instead. There are very nice places to eat in the area. The staff member who checked us in was very friendly & was the best thing about this place. Although I slept moderately well, the slamming of doors can be heard throughout.
