Executive Plaza Hotel

Excellent housekeeping, location near Manila bay and tourist attractions
6.3
This is an acceptable hotel for a short stay,The location is seedy to say the least - right in the middle of a red light district. Hotel staff and security do their jobs well however, and made my stay enjoyable. Overall, it is a reasonably inexpensive option for a single traveler
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Take the tour of Corregidor Island - available from the ferry terminal at the far end of Manila bay.

Average stay at Executive Plaza Hotel - Manila

Stayed 4 nights at the Executive Plaza Hotel in Manila after getting a good price at Agoda. Not much to sing praises about the hotel (since it is not a 5-star class). Stayed in a standard room and it is relatively clean. Hotel is located just across the Hyatt casino and walking distance to Robinsons. Amenities such as convenience stores, banks, money changers are close by which is a plus. Hotel is about only 20mins to the airport which is a plus given the nightmare traffic condition in Manila
5.7
The hotel offers good value for money, given the location. However the staff can be a little friendlier to entice me back. WHile the room is generally clean, the surrounding in the hotel could do with some sprucing up as it looks a little jaded.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: The hotel is walking distance to Roxas Blvd and once can enjoy nice view walking along the bay.

Excecutive Plaza - comfortable hotel

The room was clean and large. Nicely appointed room, with desk for working. Bathroom clean and functional. Location is handy to shops, ATM, and close to Robinson Shopping Centre. Comfortable bed, though a bit firm. Friendly restaurant staff and good security at front door.
8.3
The rooms are large and comfortable. Rooms are clean and bathroom is functional and clean also. The location is good, as there are people everywhere and one feels safe. Many people selling things in this area and beggars are everywhere, but that goes with the area. Its to be expected. My only concern was the noise coming not from the air-con in my room, but the multitude of airconditioners in the building nearby - it was very noisy indeed. Maybe the hotel has quieter rooms? I would stay here again, but ask for a quieter room. The staff in the restaurant were great - regards to Wendy who was a wonderful host! Thank you. Recommended.
Shopping Tip: Robinson Department store shopping complex is nearby. Very handy.

expensive internet, club area

internet is not free. they will rip u off for connection. will sell you scratch cards for internet connection that will cost 240 PHP per hour or if your willing to pay 1500PHP for internet and staying for a week. shows how desperate they are to squeeze money out of guests in that way. business center is not upto the mark with no printing or scanning services. some reception staff are not very well trained. will never see them smile and serving you will be like they are doing you a favor. but some staff are very professional. location is good for bachelors with plenty of clubs around. red light zone in the evenings and plenty of cons around. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE SMALL MONEY EXCHANGE OUTLETS. they WILL fool you. you give them a 100 USD for a rate of about 4600 PHP and they will start paying you in 100 PHP notes. telling you they dont have big notes. when you step outside you will be shocked to find its 23 100 peso notes instead of 46... they will fool you right infront of your eyes. there are some good money exchangers. you will know the difference when you look at their shop. so be cautious. dont be fooled by small casinos around. you will be playing against a group who will all be friends and you wont even feel it. they will let you win a few hands and then take all your money after that... basically this area is like a challenge... if your not street smart dont stay in malate...
Nightlife Tip: stay away from the money exhcangers. they are thugs. the unlicensed ones

handy to downtown

Was ok for a reasonable priced hotel in tourist area Manila but breakfast was poor and service was average at best.

Good Value

The location is perfect for stay one or two days in Manila for travelling to another destination on one of the islands. It´s a short drive to the airport, moneychangers, shopping mall and restaurants are nearby. They provide safe deposit and the even store luggage, if you don´t want to take all your luggage with you on a domestic flight. The rooms are clean, functional and not noisy. I always take non-smoking rooms, which are better than the smoking rooms... but this is a matter of taste.

I tested some of the other hotels in the nearer surrounding and wouldn´t go to any of these, if rooms in Executive Plaza still were available. Don´t take the taxi waiting in front of the hotel... there are many others you can take from the street and all of time would be cheaper than the waiting one. At check-in you will be asked to provide as a deposit for the minibar or else. That´s ok... don´t worry, you will get it back without any hassle at check out.
Shopping Tip: Ribinson Plaza Shopping Mall with Starbucks and a lot of restaurants is around the corner. The most reliable money chnager is EDZEN...about down the Mabini Street

Executive Plaza

good location, nice sized rooms, quiet
6.7
Good location for Malate, quiet and the rooms are a good size. beds are good, bathroom a little crammed but shower is good but water pressure falls and there is little hot water. Did not use the restaurant as the cost was high. Porters are good and can get lots of information. Everything is done through the business centre and if the lady is away nobody else knows anything.
