Not worth the money, avoid it!

Only the swimming pool was acceptable
3.3
The chalet we stayed in was old, lacked maintenance and due to the shower conditions even dangerous. The 1st night there was only 1 dish for dinner, while no other options for dinner in the area, the complete menue was unavailable, the airco was leaking water in the dining room, staff was not helpful, breakfast was just as bad, the whole place needs major refurbishment...

fresh air and green surrounding

We stayed for one night in family room, which is in a converted office block built probably in the 80s. The room is huge but a bit musty. For RM a night the amenities were below what we have expected and the cleanest can be better. The breakfast which is inclusive were appalling, very few choices and the slice breads were swamped with fruitflies. After sitting down for 5 minutes in the hotel restaurant we gave up and went to an open cafeteria for our breakfast. I believe this entire complex caters mainly for large group and they are total not prepare to receive individual visitors during off peak season. However, we did a plantation tour and I must say this is highlight of our stay – a must try if you are going there.

Not bad for a Felda

spacious room, plenty of activities

Room was spacious, floor got very cold when the a/c is turned on. tv reception was very poor. Almost impossible to see anything at all. Swimming pool is nice, well-maintained, large with slides and gazebo nearby. Love the surrounding gardens. Breakfast buffet has limited choice but acceptable. Plenty of outdoor activities, i tried kayaking.
Norlela M. Families with young children Malaysia, October 13, 2012
Basic, not well kept.

Breakfast given was not too bad.
4.7
The chalet was run down and very basic, considering the amount of + per night which I paid for. It was more like the old first settlers home. Bathroom appliances/fixtures were either old, faulty or damaged. More suitable for childrens or teenagers' outing/training packages. Only plus point was the breakfast, which was not too bad.

Just had one night...wish we had stayed longer!

location, location, location

after reading some of the negative reviews on this place i was a little worried, and hence just stayed one night. wish we had stayed longer! there's so much to do in this area and we will return and use the felda residence as our base. i think the negative reviews come from unrealistic expectations. this is essentially a 'resort' for regular malaysian locals. lots of companies and schools run programs out of here. so, no, it's not a 'western style' resort. yes, we had to walk a ways to our bungalow/cabin, but it was in a nice area. the staff were very friendly and helpful, and don't get too many western guests. the food was not great, but you can get noodles and snacks in the little store near the gas station. rustic charm, i guess you'd call it.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: CLose to the National Park, and they can help arrange transport. Also many interesting caves nearby. Also possible to get tours on local agriculture.

Stay in a chalet. Very basic and simple facilities. No wi-fi in chalet area. There is wi-fi at lobby. Very fast wifi speed. The toilet can be improved.I have stayed in Felda Residence in Terengganu and the their breakfast is awesome but breakfast in Felda Residence Tekam is below average.
