Good but. Staff were per functionary and disinterested. No tea and coffee facilities in our room. The amazing restaurant was booked out all 3 nights of our stay.

Lovely breakfast in rooftop restaurant overlooking colosseum and forum. Comfortable rooms. Even better sundowner cocktails with that beautiful view. Really accommodating to our children. Rooms beautifully decorated and amazing soundproofing from street.

Classic Hotel with the fantastic location in Rome

LOCATION, view from the roof terrace and breakfast
6.3
Forum Hotel has the best, ideal position in Rome, with the breathtaking view to Colosseum, Imperial Forum and Palatine Hill from the roof terrace where is a very good breakfast served. Highly recommended for people coming for the 1st time to Rome, history lovers, sightseeing explorers, tourists with preplanned ambitious agendas fond of ancient Roman archeological sites. Generally, do not expect luxury, spacious rooms, as in our case, we booked a classic double room, payed nonrefundable, but the receptionist unsupportive and not serviceable, at first gave us a tiny, small room on the st floor, than slightly bigger room underroof, where we stayed 1 night, w/o any view, old bathroom and furniture hardly for 2 stars, the next day, we got another, small room, where we stayed for 3 nights, gave up and just enjoyed outstanding location of this Hotel (as well as, a very good breakfast and good quality of wi-fi).

Fabulous location in Rome

Location, location and old world charm

We thought this was a great hotel for a short stay in Rome. Not only is it located overlooking the Forum and near the Coliseum, but it is also in the heart of Monti with great bars and restaurants. The room we stayed in was small (adequate size) and quaint. The bathroom was very small and a little outdated. We loved the wood panelling and museum elements of the hotel. The rooftop bar is fantastic.

Great location but lousy internet connection

Location, good service (staff very attentive to one's needs)

We stayed there twice, before and after X-Mas 2012 and the hotel, being close to the Collosseum, the Imperial Forum and the Vittorio Manuele monument, presents several advantages. Taxis called by the reception desk arrive in no more than 3-4 minutes.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Collosseum, the Imperial Forum, the Vittorio Manuele monument, the Vatican Museums ... with the Sixtine Chapel, of course.

Well located and very friendly staff

Location, great view from the terrace, acess to several attractions (Roman Forum, Collosseum, etc)

Very good cost/benefit relationship. The rooms are quite cozy if somewhat small. Shower: typical European, not very strong water pressure. Very convenient to walk to some of Rome's major attractions and also easy access to taxis, subway, buses. Internet access not very stable. Costs E$ 10 each 24 hours which is way too expensive for the poor quality of the internet.
Restaurant Tip: Costanza (Restaurant) just off Piazza Navona
