Good location

good location, tidy room, nice staff
The hotel is quite and tidy. The location is also perfect for the travels going to Darling Harbor and CBD. Would book the room again.

Loved the room service food and the hotel location

I have stayed at most 4 and 5 star hotels in Sydney and I rate the food we were served via room service, the best we have had. Location to Darling Harbour and the CBD was fantastic.

Could have been better

main hall under upgrading and renovation. Accessibility to rooms is quite a distance. View from the room is zero.

not what it used to be

clean, quiet, parking close by
We stayed here years ago and it has completely changed. You can no longer drive in to get off sussex st anymore, we had to pull over be instructed quickly where to go then try to pull accross 3 lanes of traffic into the parking station. The entrance is no longer roomy and grand, it is cramped and busy (not sure if this is temporary during renovation) service is polite but no longer the feeling of going above and beyond, seeing we had a toddler with us it would have been nice to be asked if there was anything we needed extra for our room (eg we had to call for more towels ect once we got to our room and had to share a single bed with my daughter as they are not flexible with changing room configuration) we did notify them it would be 2 adults and one child. The biggest change is the access to darling harbour, you used to be able to walk down some stairs and across the road, now you have to walk all the way around and over the bridge which doesnt sound that bad but if you have a pram its not as convenient and direct as it was. Also it used to have an amazing buffet breakfast now I would just say it is good. All in all it is not a bad hotel I would just no longer pay the big price tag to stay there as it is not as good as it used to be. I hope the renovations deliver a better outcome in the future and this is just temporary.

If I had known the hotel was being renovated, I wouldn't have chosen it. The way to Darling Harbour is closed, no space for lobby, poor service.
