Central location near Spanish Steps - Spagna

Close to almost all sights in Rome
A small and rather charming hotel with an old-fashioned interior. The best thing is the central location, you can walk almost everywhere in the citycenter and still return to the hotel to change your shoes or have a little rest and then continue your sight-seeing. I liked the breakfast, tea/coffee, cappucino, juice, yoghurt, buns, croissants, butter and cheese. The staff was kind and helpful.

Great Location Tiny Room, Crazy AC

Location, Transport Links
Great location near Piazza de Spagna and other attractions. Helpful staff – good with directions and arranging travel. Very good transport – buses to nearby, close to the metro, taxi rank outside. Breakfast was standard continental but with good fresh coffee. The bad part was one of the rooms. We booked two rooms. One was a walk up the stairs and the other accessible by the elevator. The upstairs room was OK – standard small European budget – but the downstairs room was too small. No TV or fridge, a tiny (really too small for a bulky person) shower. Disappointing that the standard of the rooms was different as this made for a tricky situation. One other problem was that the AC was centrally controlled and was often being turned off (to save money no doubt) at inconvenient times so that it was often hot in room.

For price: great location and service

Location and friendly, helpful staff
For the price, location and the friendly service provided you'll be hard pushed to be beat the San Silvestro. The rooms are clean but small, however most hotels in the area are the same(third hotel I've stay in). Breakfast was good and consisted of cereal, fresh pastries and coffee.

Good location, old and small bedroom

We weren’t informed in advance that we had to pay per person and night to cover the city tax. We don’t know if the responsible is Agoda or the hotel but this was really unpleasant, as we had booked this hotel because of the price Our bedroom was designed for a single, but turned into double adding a bed and reducing dramatically the space. Nevertheless we had paid a high rate -cheaper than that paid by other guests- As good points it is located in the centre, near the Fontana di Trevi and Piazza Spagna, and the service is pleasant

Central location, but small room

Closeness to many of the sites of Rome on the San Silvestro Square
The hotel is modest and well located in the Spagna, with several buses in the Square next door; but a little further to the metro (especially if you are carrying luggage). It is best to to public transport from the airport to the centre and then a taxi to the hotel. The hotel itself is very narrow and the double room where a friend and I stayed was just about large enough for a double bed and very small table with a chair. There is a hanging closet, but little shelf space. The bath room is also tiny and the shower rather cramped. There is wifi access in the room, at a modest cost for low intensity use. The breakfast is adequate. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Nice places to stay in Rome

Location, Location, Location. This hotel is located in a very ideal center of Rome, just walking distance from great shops, restaurants, and monumnets including Spanish Steps, Pantheon and so much more.
I had a great experience at the San Silvestro. I loved the location, couldn't have asked for anything more centralized. The employees at the hotel were so kind and pleasent. They really make you feel at home. I was traveling by myself (which I never voluntarily do) but the people there took such good care of me, I felt like I was traveling with family. They carried my bags to my room and even left occassional treats for me in my room. The breakfast area was so comfortable. I got to sit and watch a Nascar race while enjoying my delicious glazed donut, yougurt and sipping my cappachino. Ahhhh that was truly a vacation for the record books! Viva La San Silvestro.

ottima posizione,comodissimo centro e trasporti
