Retired Auntie at this Hostel
First off, I was a little apprehensive about staying in a hostel (because I'm 59, retired and normally stay and 3 and 4 star hotels). My 17 year old niece and I travelled together for 3 weeks in Japan and part of the experience was to try a range of accommodation (including a hostel and ryokan), so I gave this hostel a try, and I was quite satisfied. First of all, it's clean, and that's most important to me. The staff were helpful and friendly too. There's a bus stop about a block and a half away with quick access to Hakata Station for 100 yen. There's a convenience store about a block from the hostel, and a good supermarket about 5 blocks away, a very easy walk. The washer costs 300 yen and although there is no dryer, there's lots of space to hang clothes on racks outside on the 4th floor deck. I always have about a dozen large plastic coated paper clips in my travel kit, and these came in very handy to secure socks and underwear onto the hangars provided. I washed two loads in the late afternoon and everything was dry by 8:45 p.m. (the roof top access closes at 9:00 p.m.) We stayed 3 nights and although I found the bed way too hard, it didn't kill me. Our room was small with a small desk, one chair and a bunk bed and air conditioning that worked very well. Toilet and showers were shared, but there seemed to be enough capacity because we didn't experience any long wait times. As was expected, most of the guests were younger than me and everyone was respectful and there were no noise issues.

Great little hostel
Great little hostel, friendly helpful staff and super clean. Other reviews mention the lack of toilet/shower facilities, these are only few but manageable if you avoid the peak times (of which the hostel inform you of when you arrive) Would recommend and would stay again.

A good choice for limited budget to Hakata!
Though it's a bit far away from the Hakata Station (like 10mins walk, which is still acceptable), the price is rather low and the living environment is quite clean too. The staffs are really helpful as well! Recommended!!:)

Well served but quite distant from subway
Passionate service with comprehensive facilities provided. Unfortunately the hygiene was quite poor and i found one of the largest crocoachs I hv seen in my life. However the quality of the whole staying goes beyond wht shd be provided in this price.

Very noisy
This is one of the loudest hostels I have stayed in, traffic outside and very thin walls. Every sound made in the hostel can be heard in the rooms, and with people coming and going all night... I often stay in dormitories, but this was one of the worst. Nice staff and great location, but the building is not meant to accomdate that many loud young people...

Good for the price
Decent rooms, but not amazing. Walkable to the train station, but not next door. Had everything we needed, but no frills. I would stay again if passing through Fukuoka.
