Extremely overrated - Avoid all 'Funky' named.
Disgusting. Flying roaches. Dripping leakage from room above. Dirty condition beyond saving. \pompous boss of the so called 'Funky' guest houses within that area. Towel that is darker than black (plus unwashed items scattered throughout the settlement). Toilet bowl that can't be seated (ensuite). Zero air ventilation. Bad and almost none existent air conditioning without controller. smeared bath gel pump. Non existent sound proof. This is worst than the lowest expectation can stomach. (Forget about car parking. They lied. It is public where one needs to be lucky to get one)

Funky Town Guesthouse
I booked an extended stay at funky house, judging that agoda had this place listed as a 2 star facility. I was given a room with a wide open view for anyone to view into, the bed was broken and proper up by wood, roaches everywhere, common bath full of mold. Best part was the guys running this joint like to invite all their friends over a drunken good time of yelling and screaming over each other between 1-6 AM. Stay away from this guesthouse. Its a run down pile ofntrash

Awful, awful experience
Awful, the staff were rude, and un-polite and the original room looked more like a prison cell with white walls and one ceiling light, which felt more like an interrogation. I asked to move rooms because the noise of the water pumps kept going off every 10secs, which was very loud, so they put me to the front of the guest house where all you could hear is people chatting all night outside. I went out a few times to ask people to keep it down as it was 3am in the morning, but yet nothing happened. I decided to check out the next day and ask for my money back for the second night as I booked in twice. The guy said yes, no problem. I got an email saying that the host at Funky House has denied your request for a refund for the second night. Simply put this place is terrible, and I don't recommend it to anyone on a budget. I would find a nice hostel instead. I hope this review reaches out to you and you think twice before booking this place.

Tried to stay out of room as much as possible

Close to Jalan alor
Staff smoke inside there was cigarette butts in the shower, not sure who was staff or guests. Did not seem suitable for females as only older men and they gather and are very loud! room was mouldy and smelt damp!!the terrace was heated which wasn't needed. encouraged to leave hotel early and not return till late. Good days out in KL.

Misleading room photo
Absolutely fabulous. Booked too many nights, stayed for some (took rent somewhere else, take this as a break spot for 5, it is disgusting to stay here or any FUNKY FRANCHISE around the area) and burnt 3 nights without refund. Mistreated as if we are refugee at the BOSS mercy. Travelers storming out of the premise without looking back, reason that it is always noisy loud regardless of how many rooms they 'helpfully' swap you with. Best 'prison cell' living experience in whole Bukit Bintang, get them here!
