Outstanding hotel

Location, room size and service were all excellent
We had a delightful time, the ambience of the hotel is high quality and standards, it is easy to see why they have won many industry awards and have a genuine 4star rating. The food and staff were 1st quality.
Shopping Tip: A visit into Galway city centre is a must with it's quaint cobble streets.

Fabulous Hotel

Beautiful view over Galway Bay. Rooms comfortable and clean. Choice of dining options. Excellent breakfast. Staff helpful and polite without exception
Booked a twin room with my father for 3 nights to attend a wedding in the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel met our needs in every way. The staff were courteous. We ate in the bistro on our first night and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Breakfast was included and although the hotel was busy we had no delays or queues. The bar staff were also very friendly. For those of you considering holding a wedding reception there, I would highly recommend it - food was first class! and service quick and efficient even though there over 200 guests. We will definitely return if the opportunity presents itself.
Restaurant Tip: It is a good 20 minute brisk walk into the town. Taxis are expensive.

Great Hotel with some Staff Problems

Large, well appointed rooms, excellent breakfast, scenic view
The Galway Bay Hotel is a lovely place to stay. Our room was very comfortable and clean, with excellent bedding, towels, and amenities. The free broadband internet and the pool/fitness center were also very nice. Our only complaint was that the people at the front desk were not helpful in that they did not know Galway very well and gave poor advice about driving, parking, recommendations for food or entertainment, shopping, laundry, etc. If the hotel would hire people who knew the area and were helpful, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. The other issue is that the hotel is not located close to the city centre and you will be required to either walk a distance or hire an expensive taxi.
Hotel Feature Tip: Check the hours for the fitness center. We thought it closed rather early and we were disappointed that we were turned away.
