Everyone at least one in their lifetime must visit Hallstatt. When you arrive to this lovely city and see the views of lake surrounded by mountaines and charming old city the last thing you worry about is your accomodation. Hotel is very conviniently located just outside the tunel and our room had partial lake/mountains view. After short walk through the city we decided to stay there longer then initially planned. Rooms are good sized, staff is speaking English and breakfest was very good as well. Please be aware that hotel accept cash only (there is cash machine just outside hotel) and nearby shop is open only 4hrs/day.

We enjoyed our time at Berfried, it is central with free parking & buffet breakfast. Staff is friendly and knowledgable about the area.
Only negative point was the bed, extremely uncomfortable.

We had a nice stay here in this hotel. Location was great. It was near the tram station to salt mine. Supermarket was just at the corner. Breakfast was Ok as well.

We were happy that The hotel was located not far from the
main attraction which was the Hallstatt village. Overall condition was
acceptable though room design was not a fancy one. All were for
practicality. Breakfast was delicious and of variety. But hotel staff (slim blond lady) was
very busy all the time. We tried to ask for her advice about transportation
and she immediately told us to ask the information instead. And there were other things that We were not happy with staff attitude
and hospitality.
