Great location
Location is excellent since it is near to the train station. I went through the second floor exit, go up a stairs and I infront of the 7-11. This save me time to get to the train station. Bad thing is the wall is not sound proof and the neighbours were noisy at 3am when preparing for the sunrise tour. Breakfast is Taiwanese porridge with many type of side dishes, and there is steamed bun with coffee or soy bean.

Basic hotel, good location
This hotel is simply one of the cheap hotels standing side-by-side in Alishan's "Hotel Area". If you want buffet breakfast, spacious apartments, look elsewhere - but then again, you should not come to Alishan, where the attraction is the area itself. GSC Hotel should be considered the base, from where you can explore the area, and only come back to catch up with your sleep. Take note: the sunrise viewing requires early get up, and since there is next to zero soundproofing, you will also get up with the others to the sound of doors banging, people shouting, and so on.
