Lovely friendly hotel in a perfect location
The hotel was great for us as a family of four (2 boys 5y and 8y) wanting to stay in the heart of Barcelona for two days. It's only a 50m walk to La Ramblas but not too noisy. Our room was located on the top floor with a terrace with fabulous views across the city and easy access to the rooftop terrace bar area. The pool was closed when we stayed but it's only 1m wide by about 8m long and about 0.5m deep so not worth bringing your swimmers for!! The terrace does overlook the roof of the Palau Guell though which is beautiful. All the staff were extremely polite and friendly and the hotel was clean everywhere. We'd go back and will recommend.

A view of the Palacio Guell is a must
The hotel is at the southern end of Las Ramblas just across the street from Palacio Guell. Though the "city view" is nice, the big event is a view of the Gaudi building.

Good location but rooms of variable quality
Location, rooftop terrace and bar, our room
The hotel is in a great location only 40m from La Rambla. It is busy out the front of the hotel with people milling around looking at the Palau Guell building across the narrow road. Facilities are generally pretty good and we had no real complaints in terms of value for money. Breakfast was pretty good but we chose to eat out of the hotel (a bit cheaper). We were staying with 2 other couples and noted that the rooms were of variable quality. One couple had a small inside room with a very small window; we had a huge room with a terrace and nice bathroom. Some rooms had been renovated recently, other not yet. Rooftop terrace was great - but the "pool" is only 30cms deep - more for paddling in! Staff were pretty good - friendly and helpful.
