established hotel with professional approach
helpful reception, room comfortable,fair location
close to termini station on a wide main road, double glazing kept most noise out but not all! room a little small but well appointed, though some signs of a leak from above. it felt like a typical city centre hotel with bustle and energy. breakfast room was a little impersonal and breakfasts just about ok. friendly staff, though slightly arrogant manager on check out and one receptionist a bit dopey. all in all acceptable but maybe better hotels for the money in better location
Hard to avoid the tourist trap of over-crowded venues and cynical tourist menus but Rome is a great city to explore with a Roma pass (30 euros for 3 days)and boasts fine buildings and galleries: the Gallery of Modern Art is fabulous (nearest metro Piazza di Poppolo)

Lovely hotel in a great location
Spacious rooms with lots of storage space for clothes
A wonderful hotel in an ideal location, close to Termini Station and within walking distance to many attractions such as the Colosseum, Trevi fountain etc. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and spacious with ample cupboard and drawer space for clothes.

near Terminal train station, near subway station
If you arrive this hotel early morning that you can not check in you have to wait until 2 PM, reception their very poor service(only the old man)
1.Room : very small if you book by mistake for number of person for example you need to stay 2 person but you mistake to book in 1 person that you have to pay for increase 40 Euro/each.
2.The air condition not cool
3.Internet not free.
In that area very dangerous for Asia people after 10 pm (focus to terminal train station)

Central location, cozy enough rooms
Location. Just a stone's throw from Centrale and the subway line.
I'm one of those travelers who always put a premium on location. I'm not really after extravagant hotels since I spend more time outside anyway rather than inside.
So given that, the fact that this hotel was so strategically located already gives me reason to put it high on my list. Coming from the airport, you just take the train to Centrale and from there, it's easy to just drag your bags about 2 blocs down to the hotel. Then when you're ready to go out, you just go back to Centrale and you can pretty much reach any destination along the red or blue lines without needing to change trains!
But the hotel itself is quite cozy. Don't expect a huge room though since the room is pretty much a desk, your bed and a walkway for your bags. I got a double bed and I found it very comfortable.
The only thing that irked me is the internet situation. I travel a lot to all continents and cmon, every hotel gives free wifi these days. These folks charged quite unreasonably for internet access!
Other than that, I'd give this hotel a thumbs up!

great hotel and nice location
the room is quite big for european standard and nearby rome termini station
the hotel is very nice and close to termini station (it was 5 minutes walking), so the access is very easy to go anywhere and it is located on the road where there are a lot of restaurants. the hotel itself represents a 4 star hotel, it has quite complete amenities, including refrigerator, safety box, water kettle (incl coffe and tea). the toilet has hairdryer and bidet (was great for me). the breakfast was awesome for european standard, the italian coffee is briliant.
There a lot of things to see in Rome, rather than busy with public transportation, the easiest way is to take "hop on hop off bus" for the firsttimer, unless you really know where to go. We took the "green bus", the waiting for each stop was around 20 minutes. Don't forget to make a stop at Vatican and enter the Basilica, it is so worth seeing.

Good location but terrible service
They gave us a room as if they were doing us a favor and we ended up in a really small room which kind of had a single bed. When we complained about it the front desk was not helpful at all. I have stayed here before and in the future will not stay again at hotel Genova.
