Nice hotel with excellent German food

Bar, restaurant, swimmingpool
The hotel is runned by a German owner and a German cook, so everything is taken well care of. The staff is friendly and the hotel bar is couzy. The hotel looks great and so is the food.

German Retreat

German Food, Swimming Pool, Pool Table
First time staying at Geomania despite passing by a million times in the past. It's a nice retreat from Fields. Love the swimming pool and pool table right next to it. German Restaurant is the one the stands out, although I have to admit that orders do come out slow (my friend kept waiting for his order and it was not timely). Other than that, very average. Would recommend but only if you got a motorbike. I hate dealing with trike drivers and they would want a fortune to drive you from Fields to here. Plus not many people know about Geomania. Another hotel where it's worth getting a rental scooter. Oh yeah, there were quite a few ants in the CR.

Good news and bad news

The food, and friendly staff
I have stayed at Geomania 2 times previously. A little isolated from Fields but handy to Perimeter nightlife. The good news is a new menu and a new chef with great European, German, selection. The bad news I found the "Apartelle" room a little tired and needing sprucing up. No jug, cutlery, plates, cups, water, in this unit. Internet good

Probably best value for money

Good value for money, spacious environment, quiet area yet not far from night life
Geomania The name of this hotel is a spun on Germany, the country of origin of the boss, managers and most of the patrons. This hotel is probably a (too) well kept lodging secret in Angeles: it has spacious rooms, a nice - small - pool and poolside long chairs and bar and all necessary amenities at a very budget price. It also has a delicious Filipino-German restaurant with good German beers. It is located in a quite neighbourhood a mile away from the noise, excitement and chaos of Fields and the Walking Street but just behind the cheaper Perimeter bars which can also be good fun. Moving in and out downtown requires calling a trike (shouldn't pay more than 70p) or hopping on a jeepney (8p): easy and fun also to mix up a bit with the locals. For all its qualities, the hotel would gain from a less lax management as I sent several enquiries by e-mail that were not answered. It could also be worth redecorating the rooms, revamping the website and making a bit more publicity including locally - potential guests may be worried that they have never of this place and by the darkness of the street at night - unless it is precisely this laidbackness that the owners want to preserve. Also worth mentioning that on my last day the management kindly allowed me to check out at 6pm instead of noon at no charge although this might be more difficult in high season. Finally a wonderfully friendly service as often in the Philippines and another excellent accommodation experience in Luzon.

Nice rooms, lacks friendliness.Loud music until 1a

Close to Clark, lots of shops and mall on and off Clark.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool is old and has lots of missing tiles on the side and bottom, needs repair. They were working on a new ceiling in the bar and noise started early.Noise from the bar was loud and lasted until after 1am.

Very mediocre hotel

pool was OK. not hot from the sun.
A little disappointed. Ants in bathrooms because doors are not sealed properly. Air con broke down twice so they gave me another room. Central of perimeter road area so have to get trike to walking street (and they always rip you off.) 100 pesos wherever you go - even short distance. Take jeepney when you can.

Good old Geomania

Location, friendliness and honesty of the staff.
i've stayed at geomania lots of times. it's a great place, clean, friendly, and the owner & staff are accommodating and honest. only fly in the ointment this trip was the fact the internet went down and out. however, this wasn't the hotel's fault, as altho their servers/routers were working, the pldt connection/cable was out, and with the edsa rev. holiday that week, they weren't working to repair things.

Location isn't good

Location isn't that good, a taxi driver had troubles finding the place and the street it's on, doesn't have any lights at night. Staff wasn't too helpful, no smiles, no greetings. There's also a club in the hotel, but you can't really hear anything. Not a place for children. No fridge in the room, supermarkets are also quite far away.

In Angeles on a stopover, the best budget choice

Clean, powerful shower, good linens, close to airport, taxi service
for those budget travellers this is the one. No food, but there is a 7-11 3 minutes away on foot.
