You get what you pay for
Central location, friendly staff, clean
This hotel is cheap, and you get what you pay for. It's in the very center of the backpacker district which is good or bad depending on your preferences. The hotel staff is friendly and the place is clean, but beware that not all rooms have windows, and if you get one without you can't necessarily change. I wouldn't stay here again for that reason alone.

Great Staff
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was clean with simple, newer finishes. The breakfast was free and was quite good. They had fresh fruit, made to order eggs, sausage, and bread.
We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a popular touristy area. There were plenty of restaurants, spas, Ben Thahn Market, and a big kids playground within walking distance. If you enjoy walking you can also walk to City Hall, Notre Dame Church, The Post Office, and The Military Museum like we did on a walking tour. Bring your earplugs because the area is very lively late into the night. The downsides were the hard beds and no elevator. However, the staff will help to carry up your luggage. The Hotel can also help you book tours, we didn't use this service though.

Avoid, poor customer service

Didn't have a good experience. To list some: 1. They didn't consider our request for an early check-in. We arrived at 9 and were told that we can only check-in after 12. It seems the staff follows rules and avoids taking any decisions by themselves. Left the bags in the dining area to go explore the city. 2. We took a triple room since we were 3. AC started leaking and wetting the double bed on the first day. Staff at the reception didn't listen when called (later I understood the person sitting there didn't understand English and hence chose not to communicate at all). The other girl at the reception prioritised speaking with a prospective customer and asked me to simply wait. After 15 min, she finally heard the problem but again, only asked me to wait. One guy at the hotel finally understood our problem and was genuinely sorry. He provided us another room for 2 for the night with one of us sleeping on the single bed in the leaking AC room. Next day the AC was fixed. 3. 1 of us was leaving early on the day of the check-out (we booked for 2 nights in total) and we requested for an early breakfast. The staff at the reception flatly refused, then upon asking that if can only carry some fruits on the way to the airport, called up the manager to ask and then again refused saying the kitchen won't be open before 7 am. Finally, while leaving at 6.50 am, I checked again (only to see the response) and expectedly, the staff said we will have to wait for another 10 min. Again just to see their response, I pointed to fruits, and the staff said we can carry only 1 banana for 1! I can understand that the AC problem may be a one off instance (rooms are new and in good condition otherwise) but what spoiled the experience was poor customer service (another girl was quite cheerful and helpful, but she was there only for the day shift). And it seemed that probably the management exercises lot of control with little freedom to staff ultimately compromising guest satisfaction.

English speaking staff willing to help you out. Breakfast is standard, coffee, bread and egg, fruit, coffee same thing every day. It's a small hotel so understandable. Staff working in the evening was annoyed when you arrive after midnight. Didn't like the fact when they charged me for bringing a guest after 10 pm. At the end of that alley you can do your laundry for one dollar a kg. They charged me double that price. Of course service costs but some hotels are doing it for free. Overall this hotel is not a bad choice.
