Comfortable retreat

clean, comfy and classy
Best stay I had at Margaret river region!! The place, I believe, is ran by a charming couple. Really friendly and knowledgeable about wines and art places around that region. Rooms was very clean and well maintained, not big but of adequate size. I love the huge garden in front of the rustic cottage and according to the owner, kangaroos will roam that area in the dusk and dawn.

Wonderful B&B in Margaret River

Beautiful estate, great staff, attention to the finest details
We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed it! You will deffinately need a car to get around margaret river as things are spread out but, overall, this was quite central. Lovely breakfast, beautiful modern rooms and very friendly staff :)

So relaxing!

location - not too far from major attractions, quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The room - clean, comfortable and the spa bath amazing! Friendly staff - provide maps and have plenty of local knowledge.
Absolutely wonderful!!! A really peaceful and relaxing stay that you wish would not end. The retreat is surrounded by beautiful tall trees and at night the stars shine brightly. When you want to visit any of Margaret River's many wineries there are quite a few close by so you really don't have to go far. The other attractions like the Margaret River Chocolate factory is also close by which was good :) I would definitely stay again - peaceful bliss!!!

Okay, but not good value for money

Gardens and location
We stayed in the B & B part of the retreat so can't comment on the cottages. Room was fine although dated. Breakfast was limited and mangement not really attentive to guests needs. I was okay, but expected mpore fpor the cost.

A peaceful retreat - wake up & see many trees

1) Quiet 2) Surrounded by the forest, 3) Lots of greenery 4) Lots of stars in the sky above the villa
Surprisingly, a very peaceful and quiet retreat, enable us to escape from the busy city of Hong Kong / Singapore. It feels so refreshing being able to wake up in the middle of the forest and see trees and greens in in front of you. There were birds singing outside of the villa which makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. A special design from other hotels, it consist of an older style cottage (still very well maintained) for the main / common area with a lovely fire place. As for the accommodation, the individual villas are more contemporary with an open style design. In the morning and during the day, the sun light gets into the villa and is nice and bright, giving you a feeling of positive energy and enthusiastic mood to start off the day. Margaret River itself its a beautiful wine country and Gilgara fits perfectly in the region. There are other wineries close to the Retreat and not too far away from the town centre. Overall, we had a splendid experience.
