relaxing place
great breakfast
was a good stay the only problem was this hotel is very far from the city proper , good staffs , good service . everything was good , but i guess will not be good for muslims to stay there because in the comfort room( toilet) you cant find any foset for cleaning yourself .

Wonderful hotel, great atmosphere
Public area, lobby
Lovely room, very spacious with views. All the staff gave great service. We loved the breakfast and we enjoyed the Satay Inn. Our only complaint is that the cost of laundry is expensive.

great hotel with great view
best for weekend getaway
spent two nights for a weekend getaway at the deluxe balcony room. great way to relax though not spending too much outside as it was raining but overall it was great watching over the sea during the day. the room is big and spacious with great staff.

Good views Good Breakfast
The rooms are clean and large. The views are good.
I had excellent time in this hotel. The rooms are clean and large. The service is good and warm. The breakfast is very good with a wide variety of choice. The hotel is situated near a place at where seafood is superb. Transportation is a bit far yet it is easy to go city center with van and shuttle bus. Value for money choice !!

Very nice hotel and very attentive staffs
Our room was spacious, clean and excellent view over the yacht club and open sea. Very friendly staffs and flexible, especially needed when you travel with a baby. The hotel is clean, spacious with good facility, the outdoor surroundings are very pretty and is situated next to the long sandy beach.
we really enjoyed our stay in the gold coast hotel, very comfortable and well treated by attentive staffs. restaurants are high standard and so does the price tag but is worth trying if you don't want to travel out for food. the surrounding is very scenic and photogenic, is a romantic and chill-out place of hong kong as to the typical busy city life. will definitely go back again and would recommend to others.

Spacious rooms with view to sea
Good value
first hotel in hk out of four where staff is not stone-faced and tries to be nice! the location is far away from tourist spots in the country-side, if you don't mind a fourty minute bus ride to central you get good value with really spacious rooms. bus is 18.8 hk dollar only and stops across the street of mall. the hotel bus takes you to tsimshatsui for 30 hk dollars. 52x takes you to mongkok and 962 to central, wan chai and causeway bay, so you have direct access to all important spots.

Decent choice in NT
Buffet breakfast is the best i had in HK
This hotel is a good choice if you have to stay in New Territories. If you are a tourist, and want to do touristic things, you will have to wander around Kowloon and HK Island so it makes staying at this hotel pointless. But if you have to stay in NT, this hotel is good.Buffet breakfast is great, hotel rooms are large for HK standarts, clean, safe, decent hotel.Overall good price/performance ratio.Cons are, far away from public transport and a bit worn out.

A hotel without a heart
Facilities (although have to pay a high price for the use of most of them)
we had a horrid stay in this hotel, and are sad to realize that the few tourists who do stay there while their visit, have to leave hkg feeling something way worse and less than the city and the locals have to offer. the staff was cold, unhelpful and were only willing to do anything if there was money involved. they withheld information about quite a few alternatives that could have been money saving for the guests. they take a distasteful advantage of the fact that guests need transport downtown (the hotel is far out in the middle of nowhere!!!) and take unbelievable amounts of money for the ride (mind you, the seats are so small that many asians had trouble not falling off the seats). other hostels ive been to offer downtown ride . their airport pick-up bus is along the same idea, and charges close to what a private taxi (!!!) would. the staff members in the restaurant are cold and distant, do not respond to a simple thank you; they are robots who have no idea of service. the leading waiter basically throws stuff in front of you and gives a look of "whadda hell else do you want?" many of the staff members have no clue about the english language, despite their age. (hong kong residents, about 80,90 percent of them are close to fluent in english. i dunno where these people have been transferred in from.) if you want to have a true taste of hong kong, and the love and caring of the locals, please do not stay at this hotel! for that matter, avoid sino-group hotels althogether. cold, heartless and makes you furious.
