I don't know where to start because there was not a single good thing about this place. The staff completely rude and unhelpful, they even threat me to cancel my reservation and throw me away because I was asking for some clean towels. Most of the time they weren't even in the reception counter. Everything dirty inside the room, curtains on the floor, even a condom package behind the tv. The towels came late, dirty and wet after they hang them on the staircase. The shower head broken... the list is very extense It's a really terrible place.

- very dirty, bed sheets had strange stains on them and so did the towels, the floor has not been washed for months, there was a random wrapper laying around - the staff made us wait 20 minutes before they even bothered to talk to us and then they told us to wait longer - we booked a room with a balcony, but we didn't have a balcony + we got some fruit for breakfast after we asked for it Overall, there are nicer hotels in the area for the same price. The name "golden luxury" is quite a joke.

We arrived (me and my 7 years old son) at the Golden Luxury Hotel about 2PM on July 6. The owner confirmed our booking and said that the room will be ready in 20 minutes. In a mean time he tried to convince us to book some tours with him and I refused all his offers. After that he went upstairs and came back quickly saying that the room is ready. We were brought to the room 105 and right away I noticed that the room hasn't been cleaned. The sheets were dirty with gray-black stain looking like a footprint and smelled with sweat. We asked to change the sheets and the owner said that his staff is on vacation and there is no one to do so. I asked him to give me a clean sheets and I will change them myself. He went out and disappeared. after good 10 minutes I went downstairs and found him sitting by the front desk. I asked him were are the clean sheets, he said that he will bring them soon. While I was climbing stairs I met other guest who said that they won't stay at this hotel because their room is awfully dirty and the sheets look like haven't been changed at least for a week. I went to my room and waited for the owner, finally he showed up with a blanket in his hand. I asked him were are the other pieces like pillow sham and the bed sheet. The blanket with white cover he brought smelled with sweat like the set we had in our room. I said we can't accept it and he offered us another room 205. We went upstairs and he showed us the room. It was obvious that the sheets haven't been changed, the blanket cover looked white but smelled with sweat, the bed sheet had a blood stains and the pillows had a yellowish brown stain all over and smelled terribly with sweat. I told the owner right away that we won't stay in his hotel and we will look for another hotel. He said that all the customers from Agoda are terrible and he won't work with Agoda anymore. We walked outside in the rain and started looking for another accommodation. Just next door people told us that all staff o

Great budget option for travelers to Hanoi. This hotel is right in the heart of the Old Quarter, with decent rooms, friendly staff and good Wi-Fi/facilities.

"Good Location with HelpFull Staff"
We only stayed Golden Luxury Hotel - Old Quarter for 1 night, after Halong Bay. We wish we found this hotel sooner, for the beginning of our Hanoi stay! Great location down a vibey little street, near Hoankiem lake and Night Market. My favourite area in Hanoi! The rooms are very spacious, clean and pretty, All the room has window and balcony. The shower's water pressure and flow wasn't the best but it was positioned so that it didn't go on the toilet, which was a nice change. And the bed and pillows were a bit hard but overall, this is an excellent hotel!! Great price and the staff are very friendly, professional and accommodating! Especially the lady, she made sure we were comfortable, that we got an earlier breakfast before our flight and a private van to the airport, which was also cheaper. Highly recommend!
