Overpriced, 3-star at max

Staff friendliness, staff timely reaction to a problem, 3 pools which were not overcrowded
Overall a pleasant stay but the price is nowhere near in comparison to the quality. Staff: whenever there was an issue in the room (water coming out of ceiling shower head and other handheld, ants in the bed, safe without battery, ...) staff came promptly to attend and was very friendly to my daughter especially. Food: breakfast good, lunch/dinner completely overpriced (prices like a real 5-star hotel) and the food was quite bad (2 restaurants with the same menu!). After 3 days of this I had to venture to one of the 4 roadside places (hardly any street lights, herds of water buffaloes - a bit dangerous with a 2year old) Swimming: children's pool had a ver old, rustic water play area with slide - completely unsafe as floor comes off and pipes are held with wire; no beach directly at the hotel - a small stretch 200m away. Others: lots of moskitoes in the evening - no sitting on balcony, children's play room very small with just a few toys and TVs; nothing else to do around the resort - one needs to take a car to get out. All in all a hotel for groups, definitely not for children.

Great getaway!

Great view, very peaceful and relaxing
Even though my stay was short, it was certainly one of the best stay. The staff was very friendly, always prepared to go out of their way to help. The view was spectacular from most corner or the resort. Most importantly, it was very peaceful and relaxing. Definitely would come back here if ever in Hoi An!

Great Resort right on the beach

Long swimming pool, ample sun chairs, great food
Great resort. Clean, luxury rooms, helpful staff and right on the beach. Ample deck chairs and places to relax. Food is good. Internet didn't work by the pool a few days and a power outage were minor glitches. Would go back and stay again.

Lovely beach side resort

Beach side setting, the 150 m pool, very friendly and helpful staff
Excellently located on the beachside, far enough away from Hoi An to be very peaceful and relaxing, but close enough that it was an easy 10 minute free shuttle ride into the Hoi An old quarter. The resort is great for families with kids - our kids loved the 150m pool, but also had a real 5 star resort feeling. What struck us was how friendly and helpful staff were. The staff in the Boathouse restaurant were especially wonderful. I would return without question to stay at the Golden Sand Resort and Hoi An, while very touristy, is one of the most amazing spots in SE Asia.

Fantastic Stay

The staff, the pool and the rooms
The staff were absolutely wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was fantastic, mojitos by the pool were delicious and food in the Boat House was yum. Beautiful, clean room. Hotel in great position, not too far from town but still a quick enough taxi ride. Very impressed, would highly recommend to anyone. Pool was great for the kids.

Awesome Resort

Pool was amazing biggest I have been in and I've been in manny. The beach is 3 minutes walk.
This is a great resort. Pool is incredible and if you want the beach then it's 2 minutes walk. There are bikes but quite a long way to Hanoi

Overrated resort

The staff, room and the food
Breakfast time is a fight, less food, staff and tables for too many people. (You have too wait in line till a table gets free)Staff is running and working very hard too help you and keep it clean. The quality of the food is good (western), they have a lot choices if you can reach it on time! For room price like this you should have a relax breakfast. WiFi is poor and slow. We went too the management but no reaction. Don't book this, there are better hotels for less money

Not 5* standard

The bed
I was disappointed with this hotel for many reasons. Mainly the standard of how the hotel is kept. The swimming pool for kids was rusty and dangerous, with cracks in slide. I was served cold food when ordering room service. There was an event on around the pool one night that kept us up past midnight. The children's play Room air con smelt of musk and the toys were filthy and broken. You have to pay extra for a cappuccino or latte at breakfast. My husband used the gym and asked for water whilst working out, the staff passed him a dirty glass twice to use for a very old and dirty water dispenser. Overall this hotel is definitely not 5 star and not worth the amount per night.
