The Concept of the hotel is very efficeint. Then we can get the information from the iPad on the front. Only Ground foor is free WiFi zone and also can use PCs(perhaps free). The design of the hotel is very cool, the atomosphere is sophisticated ,and is near the Madagascal Gate (10minutes for walk). One of the front staff is very kind (the others are not so kind). Also one of the restaurant staff is very kind but the managerlike man is not so good. But we felt very cold at fist night and we called front desk and concielge some times to bring us the blankets, but they didn't come and bring.

Great Location

Good Breakfast Buffet
9.3
Staff was helpful. Good experience. Food at hotel is top notch. The location of the hotel is great. Close to the old city (within walking distance). The room are clean. When we 1st arrived the room we were assigned was not to our liking and requested another floor. No problem. Also had friends arriving the next day and asked if they could be assigned the room next to ours. No problem again. Will stay here again and recomend this hotel to friends.
Restaurant Tip: Wonderful dinner buffet. Different every night

Don’t stay here! Worst hotel experience ever

More moderately priced than most hotels in Jerusalem, but there is a reason for that!

This place is impersonal and disappointing. I booked it for the fitness centre, and found upon arrival the gym was only open 10am-1pm and 5pm-9pm. However, whenever I tried to go the room was locked with a sign in child-like handwriting reading “Back soon”. I waited 20 minutes and then another guest came and said he had been there over 30 minutes ago and it had been closed then too. I went to the reception to ask if the room could be unlocked and the reception staff were abrupt and unhelpful, cutting me off saying “ya, ya, ya”. After another 10 minutes, I called reception and the staff wouldn’t follow up, and then would not answer the phone at all. When I finally got into the gym, the equipment was very limited. The treadmill doesn’t go very fast, there were weights missing from pairs and the worst part is that there is a staff who just sits on a couch watching TV (and evidently taking extended breaks from his job wherein the gym is inaccessible) and the 2 treadmills are aligned with the TV so that his line of vision rests directly at the buttocks of anyone on the treadmill. It was very uncomfortable. We also found that when we checked in, the reception staff were gruff. No one helped us with our bags either getting in the door or up to the room. Internet is an extra charge ($15/day or $8/hr) and was so slow it was unusable. When I asked for my money back, the man at reception said “it’s not my hotel. No amenities in the bathroom besides liquid soap. Bathroom was dirty, with a smear of feces on the top of the toilet. Very poor ventilation, rooms are stuffy. Beds are horribly uncomfortable. Housekeeping came into the room one day before 8am without knocking, while we were sleeping. There seemed to be a lot of tour groups at the hotel, and our guidebook did mention that the hotel seems to become overwhelmed by their tour groups. Every person we dealt with at this hotel was unfriendly and unhelpful, even sometimes seemingly hostile, and the hotel cheaps out big time.

Excellent few days

Very helpful and friendly reception staff willing and able to give advice. Excellent breakfasts with loads of choice, both hot and cold. Good swimming pool. Good location.
9.7
All staff were friendly and helpful but the reception staff went out of their way to offer useful advice. The breakfasts were excellent with amazing choice. Our first breakfast was on Shabbat and we thought the choice was good then but the following day was even better. Rooms very comfortable. The location of the hotel is good for the Old City and the American Colony Hotel if you want to call in there for a posh coffee. On the slightly negative side many of the rooms are a long way from the lifts - but that wouldn't be a problem usually it was just that we had Mum with us and she can't walk far.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Always remember to get the taxi driver to put your journey on the meter. Don't be persuaded that it is cheaper not too - it never is.
