Clean, Comfortable & Different
Friendly staff, close to Siam Square
when we arrived we were greeted with a smile and a cold drink & snack. situated down a soi (laneway) the location is right in the thick of city-village life - more an area for locals than tourists which is nice if that's what you're after. can be a culture shock if you are not used to thailand. the streets are jammed full with people, stalls, smells (good and bad). for us it was enjoyable and a bit intrepid, but 3 nights was enough with all the touts and smells getting to us after a while. staff are great and they give you good advice for avoiding trouble in the city and getting around.
rooms are a bit dated, but are clean, comfortable and relatively quiet.
10 min walk to Siam Square shopping malls, MBK is good for bargain-hunters with lots of stalls selling pretty much everything from clothes to electronics, and the Paragon is more conventional brand shops with the usual retail prices.

Just next to an alley full of shops and restaurants
The welcome was very warm, room was nice though shower room was a tad small.
It was printed on their room service "all day menu" that room service starts from 7am to 930pm but apparently their kitchen closes at 8.
The housekeeping wasn't that very good because on the second day I was there, I had informed the reception to assign housekeeping services for my room (this was around 7:45am). When I returned to the room at about 10pm that night, I found ants crawling all over the floor from the small little balcony to the table. The day of check out, it seems like the personnel on duty is either having a very bad start of the day or is always grouchy but I was given an attitude when I mentioned that I want to check out and he took ages to check the bar inventory - I was a little rushing with time. Overall, they are a good hotel to have a couple of wind down days in Phuket with the convenience of finding food or supplies. They could better their service though.

little boutique hotel with parking space
This is a little boutique hotel with clean area and friendly service. I stayed there for two days and took a good rest. However there is still smell from new paint and furniture.
You have to pay attention to the signboard on the road side to locate the hotel. It is not easy to reach the hotel.

nice environment with friendly workers
Rooms are clean, swimming pool is nice
A very nice hotel. We are atisfied with everything, included friendly workers, environment and services! My son loves the big bear at the lobby there too. I will definitely come back if I visit phuket again! Thank you for those who served us during our stay in hotel.

great for the money!
beach and restaurants close-by!
Aweseome for the price. (as long as they dont raise it) very convenient location.
I arranged to be picked up from the airport by their service so I wouldn't have to deal with the Cab Mafia they have going on there.
I even confirmed twice. But guess what, no pick up. I called them and they said "just catch one of the taxis there" when I said no they sent a cab. Either they were just being lazy or they are part of the whole taxi mob going on there but in they end they upgraded us to a bigger room for our troubles.. Other than that the hotel is fantastic value and I would totally go back if I needed a good hotel for a good price.
Its worth it to spend your first night or so at a fancy hotel that will definitely take care of you when you land so you don't get mauled by the taxi mafia and don't have to have a stressful start to your trip. Why the tourism branch of the government allow the way they have things set up is beyond me. It reminds me of how Cancun was before they got more of their act together and got more tough with the cab companies so tourists wouldn't have to be so stressed out.

Perfect location and excellent customer service
3 minutes walking to the beach and beautiful roof top pool
we stayed for 3 nights after kata beach. we're very impress with the hotel friendly receptionist on the day of arrival. the room was very bright with all the glass windows, clean, spacious and comfortable. we did not find the concrete bed at all uncomfortable due to a very good firm king size mattress. their cleaners was very friendly and polite, she'll greet you whenever she saw you. the hotel location is excellent, just 3 minutes walk to karon beach. we love the roof top salt water pool, where the pool's light will change colour automaticaly during the night. we have travelled to many countries and stayed in hundreds of hotels which include 5 stars. i guess this is the only hotel will give you welcome drink and good-bye drink when you check out. we'll definitely come back to this wonderful hotel and also will recommend to my friends and relatives.

Lovely hotel and service with endless smiles....
Hospitality, Location, Comfort and Cost Effectiveness
My experience with a hotel like the Grand Sunset Hotel in Phuket Thailand could only be characterized as amazing dream come true.
In any case, the Grand Sunset Hotel has definitely embraced the boutique spirit. They've taken an offbeat design concept and embraced it wholeheartedly.
It is near to the beach, just a 2 min walk and the hospitality is what makes this hotel extra ordinary. I would recommend it as a best one and low cost...all essential facilities available in the rooms
Unfortunately, i have to leave now but i will definitely come back again
Hotel staff you are the best.....i love u all

A nice place to stay
location,roof top pool, staff,
lf you wish to stay in phuket, forget Patong, go to Karon beach.Location for me is perfect, its just back off the main road which reduces noise but still gives a side on view of the ocean or mountains from your balcony, or you can relax on the roof top pool area with 360 degree views, with a pleasant wind its nice, however without umbrellas for shade at times its a little hot, but they are in the steps of getting these.l had two rooms, one on the left side, this does have an open field which can produce a little noise from frogs or insects at night, on the right it faces another building, the rooms are comfortable, l guess we have to put into perspective of price, and quality, for this its very good. ln all its a place thats new, still improving, needs a couple things here and there, the staff are great, very helpful, enjoy a conversation, other peoples reviews made me stay here, enjoy.

nice and clean hotel with good services
the room size is ok, location is great, staff are helpfull
I stay for 4 days and 3 night, this hotel located infront of karon beach, nice beach because not too crowded like patong. But karon area a little bit far to the harbour, so it takes almost 1 hour to go to vacation spot ( I went to phang nga bay and phi-phi island). For sleep this hotel is good, wifi is good, only the water heater was a little bit too cold. Nearby the hotel you can find some facilities like spa (the thai massage was good) and also it has a pool on the roof top, not big but nice . Over all I like to stay here and will reccomend other to stay also, since the rates is not too expensive.
located near by the hotel just the block beside there's a good thai cuisine restaurant, I forget the name but the food was good
