wouldn't recommend it if you can afford more

a budget 'accommodation' in a central location
The accommodation is in the heart of Lisbon, very basic and also dated, I wouldn’t call it a ‘hotel’. We chose this place due to the price and the reviews we read at the time of booking the room. We arrived Lisbon fairly early, so we had to store our luggages at the storage area before we could check in. When we arrived at the place, we saw a big wide opened door and a gigantic flight of stairs leading up to the small reception area. It certainly did not look appealing nor welcoming. We were almost at the end of our 2 weeks European trip so we had a few huge and heavy suitcases, it was quite challenging to bring them up. We deposited our luggages at the storage area, we did not feel the storage area was attended, anybody could walk in. We went out for a wonder, certainly did not feel our luggages were safe after getting ourselves familiar with the surrounding areas. We came back a few hours later and checked in, we had to lug the luggages up to the first floor before there was a lift taking us to our floor. The lift was so small that we had to make a few trips to bring all the luggages to the room. The room we were given was small, smelly, very hard to move around due to the lack of space for luggages. The shower was also very basic and tiny, difficult to fit more than a person. I was also not feeling well at that time, this was our least favourite accommodation in the 2 weeks trip in Europe. We could have forked out more money for extra comfort.

Decent budget hotel in good location

Location, Price
Stayed at this hotel for two nights in October 2011. Chose the hotel for its location & price, in hindsight should have paid a little more for comfort...turned out to be a little too budget. All fittings were very basic, bed was comfortable enough but bathroom was poor. Shower was very average & lacked hot water on several occasions. Overall if you just want a very cheap budget hotel in a good location this will do the job.

a perfect location by the castle

view from the balcony looking at the walls of castle
A hidden charm, the hotel has a rich history, one could feel from entering into the guestroom. Best to stay high on upper floor where the views are spectacular and unexpected magical morning light.
Nightlife Tip: Lisboa, or Lisbon will come to life after midnight. The streets are safe and the restaurants, bars, cafes of all types were within walking distance. To study your guidebook thoughtfully, the best places are the ones which may not be on the touristic spots.

lisbon short stay

right in the centre , perfect position really for trams / buses and trains
thought this place was brill , not much of a saving but then the hotel was full ..would deffo stay there again
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: get the aerobus from the airport and your ticket is valid for 24 hours on all trams and buses ...so you can see a hell of a lot for 3.5 euros (including getting from the airport)

Good location

Good location
This hotel is in nice location near city central and metro station. The price is reasonable. But my room is top close to the roof and without windows. So the room is dark even daytime. It was regret.

1st Stay in Portugal!!

Pretty conveninent location!
This is our first stay in Portugal. We were greeted with a flight of stairs and were shocked. Good thing is that there is a lift that operates on the first floor. At least we were spared carrying our heavy luggage all the up to fourth floor where we stayed. The room is pretty decent thou it would be good if they can provide us with a mini kettle for boiling water. Breakfast wise, it has more variety than the other accommodation throughout our holiday.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: It is pretty near to Rossio train station and it offers trains to Sintra at high frequency rate.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: 街が石畳みなのでスーツケースを引っぱっていくのは大変です。 又、バイシャは、アフリカかと思うくらい黒人が多いのには驚きました。
