Great location and hotel room

Casino and entertainment
Great location, public bus at beside hotel lobby entrance. Very near to Venetian and City of Dream hotel. 10 minutes by taking taxi. Hotel room are very clean and tidy. Hotel staff very helpful and polite.

Big hotel, far from the centre

Clean, big rooms.
Taipa is not bes area to stay if you want have a look on Macau. Actually, from my point, if youare not for gambling, it's enough to get one day trip by boat from HK for one day w/o staying. Nothing to do more than one day.
Restaurant Tip: It's not easy to got perfect place if you do not know where. Before, spend a time and check this matter. Otherwise you may waist a time.

Very interesting Bathroom..bed was comfy.

Clear Glass shower room.
The hotel is not far from major casinos. The room was very cold and could not adjust to a higher temp. Our view from the room was the back side of another tall residential condo, so virtually no view. The bed was large and comfortable. The shower and bathroom was the best unique feature. There is a big glass window that allow you to view the other person take a shower or doing the thing. There is a curtain that could be lower to block the view, but it is controlled by the person outside of the bathroom, so it's kinda pointless. Great for couples. Casino inside the hotel is small and smokers on every tables. Not much choice of games either. Some of the slot machines were broken and would not allow you to cash out even if you won. The disclaimer on such machine was very small and not up front to let the player know it was broken until you try to cash out. My wife felt scammed. Stay away from their slots.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Senado square was the best sightseeing area. The street meatball soup shops are great and delicious, the peanuts candy shops and dried meat are also very good. Macau currency is near worthless. They would not let us use the Macau currency on the Turbo jet ferry boat on the way back to Hong Kong even though they have not left Macau Port. I felt scam on having to hold on to some useless currency. Macau need to just stick to one single currency..either Hong Kong Dollar or Macau dollar. Be careful when you use your Honk Kong dollar to make a purchase and the vendors give you back in Macau dollar as your changes. You will lose out since the Macau dollar is valued less then Hong Kong dollar but they both look similar. We felt we got scammed on the currency throughout our stay there. Never going back for sure. Rather go to the real gambling district..Vegas! In general, the casinos dealers in other major hotels speaks zero english. Service was terrible, no servers or cocktail waitress to get you drinks. Hot tea is all you get.. on your own. Plus unless u speaks chinese, it is hopeless to play at any of the tables. The dealers do not speak English or tried to help you learn how to play the game. The min. bet were relatively high usually HK$300 to HK$1000 / $39 -$129.00 USD or more. But due to lack of communication and translation, learning how to play the game is near impossible. As a tourists destination, Macau casinos and taxi company can put more effort into hiring employees that can communication in English with visiting non-Chinese speaking tourists. No wonders we did not noticed any Westerner gambling in the major casino such as Venetian, City of Dreams, or Galaxy Macau. 99% of gamblers were of Asian or Chinese heritage.

Great location great service

i love the location its easy to find and nearby there are restaurants
this is the second time i have choosen this hotel actually. the room is not really big but price is decent and clean. the service is great too the manager is nice and friendly. however when we required a non-smoking room, the room is still smell bad. we have to change for another room at night.
Hotel Feature Tip: You can choose non-smoking or smoking room but remember to tell the hotel earlier for arrangement

Great location & clean room

Clean room
Location is great, easy to find and food surrounding is nice and reasonable, short walking distance to Rua Direita Carlos Eugenio, Taipa. Room is clean, no smell, soft bed, have extra pillow and all this kindness really give me a sweet dream. Would stay back on next visit to Macau.

“Good for a short value stay”

Clean, Value hotel
Stayed at the Grandview for one night , as I needed a room and it was late. The room was fine, similar to a Novotel style. And for the price was really good value for Macau. Especially the weekends. Although I would advise to book with an online agent to get a good rate. I would easily consider a longer stay stay there, location is an easy taxi ride to everywhere you need to go. No frills but clean with good beds bathrooms.
