Both classic and contemporary in design, the 108-room hotel continues the fine service it established since first opening in 1934. Great Eastern Hotel Quezon City is the latest landmark in Quezon City, located on Makati Avenue. The hotel originally opened in 1934 and was a popular landmark during its time. Unfortunately, it was destroyed during the war until the same operators brought the establishment back to life in 1995. The 3-star hotel is within walking distance to many government offices, shopping centers, restaurants, entertainment venues, and bars. It is also walking distance to the Narda Handicrafts Showroom. I'm not really picky when choosing hotels since I'm a budget traveler. But I really can't stand roaches. There were lots of roaches in the bathroom. Sheets were dirty. Food was bad. Never going back there again.

The Cheap Hotel

Cheap Price, Comfort, Best Shower
5.7
If your looking for cheap hotel with comfortable bed, this is your hotel. The air-conditioning is weak but you can sleep well enough. The shower is good. Overall I would rate this hotel as average..

Review of Complains

Great Eastern Hotel Quezon City
5.3
Hi I do have a very bad experience with the hotel. I really wanna get a compensation for that. We checked in last Saturday Aug 15, 2016 aeound 2.30pm, my partner and I checked in to relax and for him to study since he's about to take the licensure exam for nurses accredited in US. So we really want the place to be serene and cool. First thing I noticed is the entrance bulb on the room which is flickering, meaning that is not properly working. We called out the attention of front desk to send someone. It was checked by maintenance then he wasnt able to fix it and he told me that he needs to call out the attention of the engineering department. 2 hours had passed but unfortunately the engineering team is still working on it. Imagine your stay on a hotel wherein someone is fixing a bulb on your room which turn our heads half blooded mammal. We called the front desk and we ask to be transferred. The front desk said that let their housekeeping do the rounds first to check the available rooms. We followed up like around 4 times. Still no action. Ending, the engineering wasnt able to fix the bulb and thats the only time that they let us transfer. Imagine that scenario like im about tp burst from the aggravation that Im feeling at that moment. They let us transfer to room which is smaller. I asked the bellboy if thats a deluxe double room, he answered yes. Its a room in the corner and upon checking my metric skills, the room is only 20 to 23 square meters. On your description we should be on 30 square meter room. How come that we have experience this situation? How come? Please give feedback.

Budget Hotel

Location
5.7
A budget hotel that was reasonable for the price. Room smelt of mould and had a number of cockroaches. Staff were friendly enough but obviously restricted to using their initiative. Wanted to charge an extra 500Pp to check in at midday even though l had come from airport after flying and having very little sleep. You get what you pay for. But really only a 2 - 2.5 star hotel

One of the worst hotel!

Advise travellers from staying at this cockroaches infested hotel at all cost! Very poor air conditioning ! If you really want to stay at this hotel, prepared to sleep with those pests!
