Excellent for the price
We booked here at last minute. We got what we paid for. Twin rooms with ensuite. Could of been cleaner but wasn't disgustingly dirty. Beds comfortable, shower worked fine. If u want just a Base for your stay this place is ideal. Close to all major routes 10min walk away from Tottenham Court Road tube. 5min walk to shaftesbury ave. Only major down side was no drink making facilities. Would I book here again. Yes definitely.

Don't stay here. no wifi, very dirty, no TV
A bad experience, they could try much, much harder to please their clientele. Worst Hotel experience ever. They should be closed down. They show London at it's worst. They need a visit from The Hotel Inspector!

Dirty and falling apart
Location
I'l start with teh good: it had a good lcoation right next to the british museum and walking distance to the west end and tottenham court road. That's all, though. There were dirty marks and stains on the walls of my room. There was a light above the sink which did not work. There was a light above the bed which did not work, it also had been installed in such a way that the walls had been repainted in patches but in a different colour around the light. The wardrobe was being used as storage for the hotel so had about 20 or more towels dumped in the bottom of it. Under the sink was an empty vodka bottle behind a random piece of wood that had been placed under there. The window frames were badly peeling and old. The mattress was very old and i had to flip it so i didn't feel the springs so much, it didn't improve it really. The carpet was old but, surprisingly, well vacuumed. On arrival one member of staff was standing outside the front door smoking, they didn't acknowledge me at all, I had to hit the bell for the receptionist to come and told me what room i was in and where it was but no other information at all. I can provide pictures to back up all my claims here, apart from of the staff of course. This is a hotel that is falling apart, cleaerly hasn't been renovated for at least 20 years, and where the staff seem tired and distant. I would recommend they shut it down, change the staff, renovate it, and try again.

Gresham Hotel Bloomsbury
Location, convenience, price.
We went to London with a short, but busy, schedule. The only real requirements we had were for somewhere to lay our head at the end of both days, the Gresham met that requirement. I would, however, have preferred a more comfortable bed but, for two nights, it was adequate. ( The hotel did not advertise food, therefore the 'food/dining' question is irrelevant. )
