great guest house

very clean, nice staffs !
I've been there for 7 nights, and it was great! I couldn't feel uncomfortable even though I stayed in Dormitory for 4 people. Everything was very clean and neat! And the onwer and all the staffs were very kindly and helpful! And they let me know the good places to visit. So if I get a chance to visit to Nagasaki, the place I'll stay is definitely here! Thanks!

Nice staff, crap accomodation

the owners were incredibly nice and the free breakfast was great
It was a decent enough guesthouse despite being a little out if the way. However, if you want a decent sleep I'd go elsewhere. A private room there will have you hearing the comings and goings of every other person in your section of the hotel. For me that meant being woken up for two of the nights I stayed there when other guests came in and had a drink in the kitchen in the next room at 3am.

Nagasaki is a city with history and personality

traditional, friendly, down to earth
Except the relatively remote location and a little bit dark in the neighborhood at night (need to walk uphill from the carstreet station, it's ok for those w/ a small baggage/ backpack but would be challenging for those w/ bigger ones), all is good. Friendly staff, nice decor, a well equipped guesthouse where you can experience the local life :)

it was a great stay

nice staff, free breakfast, quiet and cozyroom
It was a great stay. There were nice staffs who can speak in English. Very peaceful and calm surroundings. Fortunately, other guests - especially the Slovenians - were also so nice when I stayed there. I made the greatest memory there.

Friendly, good English skills, and very relaxing atmosphere
My friend and I liked our room. We stayed had a tatami. The place is similar to Nagasaki in that it's cute and quaint. I stayed in 7 different hotels/hostels/ryokans during my trip and this one had the most "traditional Japanese" feel. The city of Nagasaki is quite small, so this inn is convenient, but it might be a bit inconvenient if you have a lot of luggage.

Best Guesthouse in Nagasaki if not Kyushu

Staff, Staff and Staff
Unfortunately, I believe stayed in the best guesthouse and I've only just begun my 6 months in Japan.

A bit out of the way but very pleasant.

Quiet, traditional and comfortable.
At the end of the tram line it may not be obvious at first where you need to go to find this little hostel. We found a police kiosk opposite the tram stop to ask for directions. Apparently this is a common request. They had a pamphlet handy with the information needed to find the guest house. The surroundings are very pleasant and like many guest houses in Japan are very clean, orderly and comfortable.
