worst hotel ever, i even electrocuted myself

there was absolutly nothing good about this place.
i hated this place. the place in itself is in ruins. electric cords were hanging from the walls and the ceiling. i truly electrocuted myself by touching the bedside lamps on the wall. the floor covering was rising up and waving from the floor, it was even hard to open the door. the walls are in bamboo, the noise and the light from the others rooms were entering in our room. we found big tropical spiders and even cockroaches in the room. the bathroom smelled very bad. there was nothing «nature» about this place as advertised and the restaurant is closed. don't go there!

Declined Resort

Good location
This hotel was clearly once a good option. However, it now seems sadly neglected. The restaurant is closed and you cannot even get a drink. At this price you would expect fridge and coffee making facilities. The fabric of the building has been neglected. The trips heralded by their brochure are not running. The eco-ethos is no longer in evidence. Try somewhere else!
Restaurant Tip: The local restaurants shut early around 1900 hours so don't be late.

Over-priced run-down resort in noisy location

Friendly caretaker and attractive garden plants. Air con actually worked!
DONT STAY HERE!! Appallingly-bad value for money, over-priced run-down collection of ancient bungalows and semi-derelict rooms. The washbasin leaked badly, there was a strong smell of sewage in some of the rooms, the handles were falling off the washroom doors, there was a large hole in the washroom ceiling in one of our rooms and the bed linen and towels had seen better days. The restaurant doesn't function and no breakfasts are provided. The resort is located right next to a busy noisy harbour, on a mosquito-infested river mouth, 15 minutes walk from the nearest beach.

Great location but not worth it.

Close to pier.
The hotel is very close to the pier which is nice, but the room we stayed in was in very bad shape and we're glad we only booked for two nights. Half inch of standing water in bathroom and roach eggs in bed and bathroom. The walls are literally paper thin so you will be aware of your neighbors. Overall the hotel looks like it's a bit run down and not not being maintained properly. The interactions with the staff were strange to say the least and we were asked not to write a bad review after we checked out. There are other places in the area at the same rate. I suggest you look elsewhere.

Terrible don't go there!!

The man who worked there tried to be very helpful. The facilities are just bad.
We were 2 couples travelling thru. When we got there the man offered us a choice of a bungalow with hot water or a room with no hot water. We took the cold water. In our bathroom the water just ran onto the floor and stayed there. We had to wade thru it in the morning to go to the toilet or have our cold shower. It had to be a health hazard.Terrible!!

Nice location but rather overpriced

Views overlooking jetty from upstairs rooms
the haad yao nature resort is located in a quiet village overlooking the longtail ferry jetty with regular boats departing for koh libong. the hotel is rustic but lacks maintainance. the rooms are adequate and spacious, though bedding was stained and few rooms have hot water. the food in the restaurant is fine, though portions are not over large and beer prices are very expensive for the area. receptionist speaks good english, but not very forthcoming with information unless you want to book one of their expensive excursions
Restaurant Tip: The restaurant overlooking the main ferry terminal is excellent, but not open every evening, so check with them during the day to see if they will open that evening. Marine Room Pub/Cafe will order takeaway food to eat on their premises....very friendly staff

Lovely resort

Standart equipped rooms with A/C. Clean rooms and comfortable bed. Simply, but tasty breakfest. Mr. Professor was very friendly and he explained as many important thing about life of local people, dungongs and buddhism. He use "common sense" in business.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Long Beach. Chaoi Mai cave

Quiet location, good staff, but a little unkempt.

nice peaceful surroundings, owner very informative
resort is located in a small village so it was very quiet. the owner, lawrence, is a very helpful individual and very willing to discuss some of the local beliefs, wildlife, personal anecdotes, etc. you can rent kayaks or schedule tours to see some of the surrounding sights. kayaking in the mangrove was very cool. cons: we had to request a room change as it was evident that no one had really stayed in or cleaned our initial room. not much or a food selection if you're looking to dine-in at the resort. you have to go to a local restaurant or cafe, but luckily their are a couple decent ones in the area.

Plena naturaleza,

Empleado amable y acogedor
