Great stay, good service, room and hot spring

Private open air hot spring, location and Japanese traditional room
Was perfect. Unbeatable location next to the hakone yumoto train station. Private open air hot spring was amazing just arrange a reservation. Full board dinner and breakfast was also great with the traditional style room. No complaints (: great service too!

Clean, convenient

there are 2 outdoor private onsen that can be booked, each session 50mins. Breakfast and dinner are superb!!
Everything was better than expected, expect the breakfast and dinner sessions. Time is fixed, breakfast: 7:30am or 8am, Dinner: 6pm or 6:30pm. Could not sleep more after breakfast as they will clean up all the mattress and duvet and bed sheets other than the breakfast and dinner time, everything is good. LOVED the private outdoor onsen!! totally worth it!

clean, comfortable, nice environment
It was a great stay at Hakone Suimeisou Hotel. The dinner and breakfast they served is very nice and well prepared. The hotel is very near to subway station and bus station. There are 2 onsen available in the hotel- indoor and outdoor which available 24 hours.

Will definitely come back

Location, view from the balcony and the breakfast
The hotel was very near the Hakone Yumoto station, lots of food and souvenir shops right outside. Lovely hotel, very quiet. Stayed in the second floor, view was absolutely breathtaking. Room was clean, large and very comfortable. Great experience staying in a ryokan. There's also an onsen on the 6th floor, indoor, outdoor and a private one outdoors with view of the mountains. Stayed overnight, wished I could've stayed longer. You must absolutely get the breakfast, it was very delicious.

Convenient Basic Hotel

Location, Location, Location
This hotel is conveniently located near the station, but this is a very basic hotel with minimal or no amenities. They do not even provide body shampoo, shampoo and conditioner in the rooms. They expect you to shower at the Public Bath area where these amenities are provided. The room is also very basic, definitely not the 4 star as claimed. In addition, the shops near the hotel closes before 7pm, so if you need to grab dinner, very limited choice available after 7pm. There's a family mart within walking distance if you are need simple food.

Experiencing the traditional Japanese hospitality

Location, dinner, open air onsen
Nice experience in this ryokan by the river in the heart of Hakone village. We appreciated the traditional dinner served in room overlooking the river. Many different dishes and nicely served (but non described, which would be more interesti g than the actual blind tasting). The open onsen is ok, a bit small though (the tub is just comfortable for max 2 strangers). Staff is a bit stiff. They could be more flexible and accept some small variation, like serving some coffee or tea instead of fish for breakfast especially when proper notice was given. Overall good but overpriced.

Convenient, relaxed, nice services
It's very close to Hakone-Yutmoto station. The hotel is clean, but there is some smell of bamboo in a room. There is 3 Onsen baths on the 6th floor, 1 public and 2 open-air private. Most employees can understand English, receptionist can speak English clearly. Food is OK, but I don't like the taste.
