Comfortable, a bit expensive

location, comparability, quite
it is a good stay in general. it located near vat xiengthong and just few steps away from few vat. the morning monks parade is just in front of the hotel and you can enjoy the traditional Buddhist ritual by the room window. it take few minutes to the luang prabang town area, and night market, it is an enjoyable walk. room is really simple and comfortable. internet can be asses in the room but there were some interruption during my stay, otherwise the speed of the connection was decent. the owner speak fluent english and mandarin, there were no problem of communication, he is really friendly and offer any assistant as you needed. i would come back again next time

Hotel ok

Location, friendly staff, average value for money
Didn't get the room we were supposed to have. Had small replacement room before we requested to change (which was much better...). A bit expensive for what it is

Friendly staff; clean and comfortable room

Great location, Very comfortable accomodations and friendly and helpful staff
We initially booked 2 nights at Halolao Villa and ended up staying for 4 nights. The staff was wonderful - they catered to our every request from needing extra towels to allowing us to use a shower before flying out after hiking around. The rooms were very clean and the a/c worked wonderfully. The breakfast offered several options with eggs, pancakes, breakfast meats, and yogurt/museli options - definitely an upgrade from other places we stayed with just toast and bananas. There was a large common room area with a TV and couches plus a kitchen and dining table should you prefer to make your own meals or lounge.

Quiet location, plenty of space

Plenty of space for the family
We booked the downstairs room which consisted of 2 double bedroom, a sitting area, bathroom and garden space. No view. The bedrooms are separated by the sitting room and an outside area with steps where the bathroom was located. This was fine for us with kids aged 7 and 11 but wouldn't have felt comfortable with smaller children as wouldn't be able to hear them easily in the night as had to have doors shut to keep the mosquitos out. The bathroom was basic and tended to stay wet once you had used the shower. The location was good - quiet but close to the temples so could just step out in the morning to watch the alms procession without being intrusive. The breakfast was ok and we ate one lunch and one dinner there which were good, otherwise we walked 5-10 minutes into the busier part of town to eat.

Quiet Villa Close to the Best Temples

Huge rooms
We stayed at Halolao Villa for 4 days with 2 adults and 2 children, and I would highly recommend this villa. We had 2 big rooms, bathroom, TV/living room and private outdoor patio area. The kids loved having their own TV area. The manager Sang spoke fluent English and was very helpful. The breakfast selection was good. Wifi signal in the rooms was OK but stronger upstairs. The Villa is located near the best temples and an easy walk to the night market and Royal Palace area.
Restaurant Tip: Eat at Tangor on the the main street near the night market area. The restaurant is French inspired and the coffee is excellent and desserts to die for. The ambiance is very hip.

Lovely villa and welcoming environment

It is very cosy for traveler with family
We reached the villa at night, we were tired and can't wait to have a rest and good sleep. By the time we step into the villa, we were so excited with the welcoming environment. There were living hall and dinning area upon entering the 2nd floor. The room that we book has plenty of space for our family and most importantly it is clean specially if you have young child travel with you! We had a good night sleep at that night and not even aware that there was a drum sound at ~4.30am at the wat across the street. The villa located at strategic location which we were able to go places nearby by cycling or even walking. The noddles shop 2 doors away was fatastic. We decided to extend for another 2 nights and walking to night market at the 2nd day within walking distance (there are a lot of good restaurant along the way). The staff of the villa was very friendly and helpful. I think we will come back soon.

Homes feel hotel

great service and great location.
Owner and staff are very friendly and helpful, they will try to help us settle all our problem even is late night. Location is good, nearby the most famous temple xiang thong, within walking distance to night market, quiet and peaceful place. The hotel rooms is spacious, clean, comfortable home feel and giving more privacy if you got 2 rooms connected just like we have. The service and environment of this hotel is more the above our expected, if have chance we would like to stay there ag The best hotel we ever stay in Laos. The only comment that we have is, can't find any mirror in the room, only one in bathroom.
