Staff were well trained and polite. Room was quiet even though it is just 1 floor below the hotel restaurant which is at the top floor. Perhaps the main reason being virtually non-existence of vietnamese guest!LOL! Other than my friend, the other guest I met during breakfast were foreigners. non wonder all their staff speak english. Other than the spacious bathroom which needs some touch up, the room was basically ok and value for $$. Was surprise to know my room has a balcony but the view is .. up to individual. Location of this hotel is a bit special... it is right at the corner of a small road/alley with many shop houses and the reliable Hanoi Transfer Service is right there.

Very good Hotel, Great location, FANTASTIC staff

1 - Fantastic Staff, 2 - great location, 3 - Very clean, comfortable, spacious rooms
9.3
With excursions to Halong Bay and Sa Pa, I staid at this hotel for three bookings and each time I was given a nicer room. All the rooms were clean, spacious, comfortable bed, with complimentary breakfast having both a buffet and a small selection of western and Vietnamese menu items to order from. The location is a small side street that is packed with cafés and smaller shops, the kind of street where you would expect to find a lot of backpackers and other experienced travellers. A short two blocks away is a really pretty small lake/pond, popular with both locals and tourists to walk around, or as I did, use it as a path for my morning jog. Within a 30 minute walk is the Hanoi opera house, and upscale shops like Prada, so the location has a bit of everything. The best part of the hotel is the staff. Very friendly, helpful, they all speak English well, I booked my trip to Sa Pa with them, and had a wonderful trip even with questionable weather. On my last day, they wished me happy birthday in the morning, and I appreciated that they noticed my birth date on my passport, but at the end of the day of sightseeing, when they presented me with a birthday cake they went out to buy, that was truly special. Thanks again to all the staff at the Hanoi Imperial Hotel for a wonderful stay.

Hotel imperial

Wonderful service. Good message. Comfortable bed.

Really enjoyable introduction to the old quarters of Hanoi. The hotel is in a convenient location and the service staff are full of smiles. We were given a wonderful complimentary message. The only improvement is in the bathroom. The bathtub was placed without any proper waterproofing so taking a shower got everything wet. But otherwise, a good stay overall.

Hotel staff are courteous & services excellent

Courteous staff; service & cleanliness

Very comfortable and enjoyable. Hotel is located close to lake and restaurants at the heart of the Old Quarters. Entrance to hotel is a little cluttered by many motorbikes. Staff are well trained & courteous which make up for any shortfall in facility. Breakfast was really excellent with a great variety of food. We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Imperial.

We really enjoyed staying here. Excellent hotel. Our baggage was lost and the hotel went out of their way to be helpful. I highly recommend, and hope to return.

Convenient hotel

1 . Location 2. Good food 3. Professional and friendly staff

This hotel is conveniently located in the central of Hanoi city. We can walk around the Old Quarters as it's all within walking distance. The front office staff were very helpful and friendly, they even recommend us where we should visit. They even warned us about pickpockets at the night market. True enough we did encountered 'very brave' pickpockets who followed us. The staff at the dining area located on the 8th floor were very friendly as well. We have a good spread of varieties for breakfast.

The Staff made us feel most welcome. Nothing was ever a problem. They organised some very nice tours for us, opened doors, exchanged money, gave us good information about the local markets, and we had a very relaxing message. We would certainly stay here again.
