Ok place to stay in a pinch

Location, friendly staff, quiet place
There are better deals to be had in Krabi, as this place is the bare minimum of a room but it was clean and the restaurants nearby are good and cheaper than the waterfront.

Good for a night or two

Great location, comfortable bed, helpful staff
We stayed here in an air con room for one night- it was great. A little funky, a little worn, but maybe the most comfortable bed we had in 6 weeks in Thailand (this may vary from room to room). A good budget option.

clean, friendly, and cheap

Price, Service,
my wife and i stayed at kr mansion for two nights. the price is excellent and the rooms we're very clean. we were all the way up on the 5th floor but it's not that bad. the staff were good and they were very accomidating with regards to tours and awnsering any questions we had about krabi town. the location is fine too, within 10 minutes to the core of the town. it's up at the top of the hill but it's not that steep. we rented a scooter from the guy down the street as we went to ao nang for a day (about 25 kilometers away). for the price, you cannot complain or go wrong. if you're looking for a cheap, clean, friendly place to stay, stay at hello kr mansion. only downside was it sometimes got a little bit loud early in the morning. (dogs barking, etc) pretty minor.

Super affordable, great location, not the cleanest

Excellent location, very cheap, generally clean
some of the reviews i read on this place i think must have been written by people who have not traveled much in thailand. if you pay for a room (which is what we paid), then it won't be the most lovely room you've ever seen. the bed and sheets and floor were totally clean, the fan did a good job of cooling the room down, and there was plenty of hot water. yes, it's totally run down and the bathroom was looking a bit rusty but for eleven bucks, who cares?! it's close to everything in town, the pier and restaurants etc. the wifi only works in the lobby though. also, lots of dogs in the area barking throughout the night, but with earplugs i was just fine. great bargain location for a night or two! also, the rooftop bar is now defunct (feb 2013), which is too bad because the view is incredible.

Customer service so far was the worst I have had in Thailand. It instantly had a bad experience.

Close to the pier nightmare.

Close to the pier. Alright pricing.
I went out for the night with some friends and when I returned at 1 all the storm shutters were closed. It took about 10-15 minutes of hard knocking before someone even showed up. I understand it was my fault for coming back late but maybe a door and key would be nice for other guests. When I finally got to bed I woke up the next morning with a large bite that took over a week to heal with antibiotics. Definitely will be staying at another place next time.
