Great People That Makes A Great Stay in Herethera
The rooms; Dive Centre and the People - excellent group of staff that are willing to ensure your stay becomes a pleasant one.
We stayed at the Resort from 13-20th March 2015. Te was a wonderful stay. I got to complete my advanced diving course there with excellence coaching & mentoring from the instructors, and in particular from Chihiro - the best diving instructor I have thus far. She's very patient, professional and shared many diving tips that I would not otherwise received; I'm so fortunate to have her on one-to-one coaching and I enjoyed learning from her! Apart from diving, we had a great time there too, and the staff are so ever willing to get us a delightful stay; we had our electrical plugs in room not working - they came and get it repaired when informed; when there was a mixed up for our Island Tour excursion, they fixed it; and when we have dinner using our hands as our customary way, the waiter thoughtfully provided us with a bowl of handwash without asking but mere observing our needs. I felt good about these service, and we felt happy spending a great time there. It was wonderful...!!

Nice island, very bad management
price
The island is nice, especially when you look at the price. Be aware that personel is not fully aware whats in all inclusive package and not concerning mini bar. This gave me a big discussion with the front office manager (who is a complete). He only points at papers, don't believe his staff can make a mistake and charge you fully witout listening to your side of the storry. We had a nice holiday untill we get into a fight with the management over 200 dollar. Clearly they don't put the customer in the middle and staying you a liar. For this discussion and the way management handled it, i will never ever go back!

Our lovely island hideaway
Good food, big, spacious & clean villa and a Dive centre with friendly dive & boat crew!
Getting to Addu Atoll in itself was a wonderful experience. The hotel representative was at the domestic airport to check us onto the flight. What was in store for us on board the flight, other than the view - you'd have to travel to Addu Atoll to know. VILLA We stayed here for 6 nights in the sunset villa. The villa was beautifully decorated and spacious. The room opened up to beautiful sunsets and if you are an early riser you'd be able to see the moon setting. Any complaints would be the villa was far from the dive centre, reception, restaurant and basically everything else. Good thing was there was Buggy service available. You'd just have to call in advance and wait (and wait) for it to arrive. Alternatively, there are bicycles available for rent at US$4 per bicycle per day. Oh, and it would have been nice if we had clean towels after the 3rd night of stay.. FOOD Whenever we travel, food is always our worry. We need spicy food. We are grateful that the chefs offered to spice up some stir-fries for us. Small downside was on days when we returned late from our dives, not much food was left and only some were replenished. To be fair it was 1.45-2pm on those days. Lunch ends at 2.30pm. Drinks are not included in the Full Board packages. Other than breakfast, drinks would have to be purchased. Mineral water when unfinished during the meal will be kept for you by the restaurant and brought it again during the next meal. So that's pretty good. Oh and you will be designated a table for your whole stay at the resort. DIVING 80% of our time there was spent diving. Addu Atoll has some good dive sites. Demon Point, Manta Point, Berry East Side & British Loyalty Wreck were good sites!! Simply breathtaking. We were lucky to have a school of dolphins swim beside our Dhoni too. Great dive & boat crew. NITROX please? SPA It was GOOD! OTHERS Friendly staff all - around. Keep it up. Pool table needs maintenance though;)

So far away and overpriced
Solih, clean rooms, private
Workers at reception were wery unpleasant and room service was unbelievebly slow, there is no such thing as 24h room service. Everything is overpriced and don't have tax included ( for ex. red bull is 8$ + tax, 1litre pack juice is 10$ + tax). Watersports are also overpriced, altough workers were friendly. Food was ok, especially the one you got from chef, who was making it on place. Too many rude and impolite asian people, who are 80% of guests. Beach was nice from some places, but had a lot seaweed inside. Rocky ocean side looks beautiful but you better not swim there. Rooms were clean, but outdoor toilet is not our cup of tea. Best person was Solih from buffet, very professional and outgoing man. Island is big and could be beautiful but most of it looks like abandoned jungle. No grass, no hard roads, only sand sand sand everywhere and weed. Every night 3 asian girls sang the same ABBA songs. Overall the weather was nice and it saved our moods.

Herathea Island Resort
Hotel was in a great location with the Beach not more than 20 meters away. The Staff were attentive and polite. The Dive Club has some great locations to dive on.
Overall the stay was great. The Hotel, Staff, Location were great. The only issue is that the resort is 4.5 Km long and has one Restaurant. If you are old, disabled or generally infirm, then you rely on the buggys to pick you up. These are inconsistent at best, you can be left waiting a long time.

Average
Nice room, Nice pool
Stay in the hotel was average. Nice staff but wasted half a day travelling to the island. Food served was extremely dry which is trying to psycho you to buy their drink. Overall was a nice trip with nice staff.
