Nice rooms. No other features to this hotel!
Location is nice and quiet.
We enjoyed our stay at the Hill Hotel. Basically, these are just rooms...there are no other features to this hotel! Even the reception rarely had any one working there (I think the receptionist also worked for another hotel so spent half the time elsewhere...including when we first arrived which meant we spent an hour or so trying to check in). The rooms are at the top of a hill which overlooks some rough land, next door to the Long Beach resort. You need to walk through the Long Beach resort to get to the beach, which is a very nice part of the beach. We sometimes used the Long Beach Resort facilities such as the swimming pool and bar, though I'm not sure that we were supposed to do so! If you are scared of dogs then probably stay somewhere else. Although they look scary, the Phu Quoc dogs that live next door to this hotel are quite friendly...however I can understand that some people unfamiliar with dogs would find them a bit frightening when they come to greet you.

Cheap - Perfect
I stayed here for a couple of days before leaving for Cambodia. I had just been staying in Famiana Resort down the road with a friend, I found this little gem. Very cheap and cheerful, rooms were clean. Don't expect much with this hotel other than a ok place to lay your head. They have a few dogs on the road towards the hotel, watch out for them - Harmless but none the less there barking is annoying. Oh and reception only work a few hours per day.

Nice hotel, interesting policies
Clean large rooms
the hotel is a little way from town, but this is ok as they can organise a scooter for you for your stay for a decent price. room was very clean and nice and big. it's about a 5 minute walk down to the beach. all was well until our last day. check out is listed as 12 o'clock. we were woken at 7 by the cleaner, then again at 8 with them trying to kick us out so they could clean the room and let the next customers in who were already waiting at reception. really not appreciated, you have check in and check out times for a reason.
