Poor and terrible hotel

Hill Livingtel cannot be consider as a hotel, even a rest house is much better than it. The toilet and bathroom are shared. The rooms are very very small. My husband got a room just beside the toilet and bathroom, the whole night hearing the noise of flashing water and washing, even at midnight, you can hear the noise of foot steps and smell the cooking of korean noodles, hearing the washing of kitchen utensils. This place is horrible !

Clean enough but

Other than being clean, this hostel offered nothing more than a place to stay. For the same money in the same area you can find a room with a private bath and a shower large enough to stand up in, even a bar of soap and a towel. In addition, it is a long walk from the nearest subway stop - fifteen minutes - which should make it one of the least attractive hostels in Seoul.

Not up to the standard but good location

Near to the subway stations
We felt like fainting as we arrived the hotel and saw the room after a long tiring day! The room is so small and unprepared when we just got in. The attendees asked us to wait for another 20 mins, so we decided to have our dinner first. To our disappointment, the rooms are still not prepared after our dinner! When they brought in the pillow and the blanket, sorry to say that the blanket is rather dirty and the pillow smells. I really pity my friends (husband and wife) because the double room is just horrible. The room is only small enough to fit in 2 beds, so their luggage need to be put in our room....Besides this, the aircon will be turned off in the middle of the night! The only pros will be the location as it is near to Yongsan station. All in all, I won't recommend it to the couple.

Should Avoid if You Are a Traveller

Own room
The guy running this hotel speaks no English so it was difficult to communicate any problems and google translate is not the answer for many problems. Also, this means that he cannot help you with travel questions and being my first day in Seoul, I felt as lost as ever. However, he does mean well sometimes and did help me to get an adapter plug after my insistence. Rooms are way too small, beds were uncomfortable, and the air conditioning was non-existent. Bathrooms were also kind of gross. I ended up going to a 24-hour spa nearby and sleeping there instead, which was honestly more pleasant. You're better off staying at a guesthouse where there is a helpful staff and people to meet/talk to. AVOID THIS PLACE.

good location, small rooms

Very close to Yongsan Station.
The smallest room i've ever stayed in, very uncomfy. No TV and internet as well. The centralized airconditioning wasnt working so it was hot in the room. These are the reasons why this hotel is very cheap.

It is a cubicle, not room.

near to Yongsan subway
this is the smallest room i have ever stayed in my entire life! however, the only consolation i get is the staff is very helpful and friendly although he only speaks korean. the room is small beyond any body's imagination. my room is about 8 feet by 8 feet i think. it's an experience really. however i did not spend much time there as the main purpose of me staying there is because it is near to dragon hill spa and within walking distance.

teeny tiny rooms

The place is cheap
The staff were friendly enough, but I wasn't impressed with the fact that I had to wait for my room to be prepared especially since I had booked long in advance. This should be classified as a motel, not a hotel. The rooms were teeny tiny so tall people please look elsewhere. No aircon, a minute window (if you're lucky) and a freestanding, temperamental fan. The directions are not easy to follow and the entrance is not easily marked. My cab driver was driving around in circles for 25mins trying to find the place! On the site it says 4F when its actually on the 6th. All signage is in Korean so if you aren't fluent you're gonna have some problems. Good luck to you.

probably not your best option

This was one of the lodging experiences I've ever had in my entire life. First off, the hotel was impossible to find even with a Korean address. Second, the room was incredibly small and I wasn't sure if I was staying in a hotel or somebody's closet. Overall it's probably best if you look elsewhere unless you're on an extremely tight budget. However, don't plan on sleeping in the same bed if you're traveling with you "significant other" because they hardly fit one individual.
