Poor Service

Paco's Bar
We arrived for a 2 night stay at 2:00pm check in only to be told that the room was not ready as they were very busy(that to me is not a good excuse as they know in advance how busy the hotel is going to be).Told we can use the gym or pool until our room is ready. (Maybe they expect me to go through my luggage and get dressed in the foyer!!). Asked for a non smoking room but told there are only smoking rooms available.I had also paid for the room in advance through Agoda. The receptioist said i had not paid for the room. When i showed her proof that i had paid in advance she went through the back to check and then came back and said their had been a technical hitch and i was correct. Finally told room is available at 3:00pm. We had a garden chalet room which i would not recommend as its looking tired, smells of smoke and you can here everything from the adjoining room(doors slamming, Kids screaming, people talking) On checking out the Receptionist asked how my stay had been. I replied "not very good" to which she replied "fine".She has obviously been told to ask the question automatically but is not listening to the answer. The only plus was Paco's Bar where the service and Atmosphere were good and the food was ok. Maybe the bar/waiting staff could teach the front desk about customer service. In conclusion i won't be returning.

Too noisy!!

Best thing was the facilities on it (swimming pool, children playground)
I didn't really enjoy the stay because it was too noisy at night because of the sonund of the cars on streets that I couldn't sleep, in addition to that the gardner cuts the tree at 7 am that I couldn't sleep that day at all.. Moreover, on of the reception staff was rood while I was asking about the hotel checking out policies!

Not as great as last time

Cleanliness, lap pool, Japanese restaurant
This was our second stay. Of course we returned because we enjoyed it the first time. However, this second visit was less fun. I upgraded the room booking from our first stay, as I thought the deluxe room would be nicer, but in fact it seemed smaller than the regular 'guest room' and the bathtub is TINY. Front desk staff are lovely and room service staff are lovely, but a waitress at the Italian restaurant was so unhelpful and borderline rude that we ended up walking out. Japanese restaurant is lovely with wonderful staff. They have a new policy of not stocking up the mini fridges in the rooms at all, so you have to order room service for soft drinks or snacks, which I thought brings down the tone, it makes it seem less than 4 star to have nothing in the mini fridge. The place is also pretty noisy, ear plugs are required! The buffet is very nice for dinner, their lap pool is great when you want to do some exercise and overall it's a lovely hotel, just small things could really improve the experience.

value for money

location, clean and good breakfast
It was a pleasant stay. Good location with the chance to view Jabal Al Hafeet so try to ask the reception to assign you in the room facing the Jabal Al Hafeet. Good breakfast with various type to select. I will stay again in this hotel if I am visiting Al Ain.

Al Ain Hilton - an excellent hotel

Nice ambiance around the pool area, friendly and attentive staff, kept clean.
Very good experience indeed. Excellent service when I had a problem with the room - an engineer visited within 3 minutes of my call. Chalet service staff member Dalip was very friendly and kept my room clean and tidy. Very good pool area. Definitely returning.
