Stay away!

it has a bed, a toilet and a door that locks
Dreadful! An outdated floral decor that nevertheless doesn't allow you to forget the accommodation's origins as a garage! This is in no way 4-star accommodation. I'm sure I left it cleaner that when I arrived, but did not know what to do about all the cockroaches. The hot water is only intermittent and only one sachet of International Roast coffee was left for a two-day stay! Yummy! There are details that a traveller needs to know that aren't mentioned in the booking; like the fact that you need to find out an access code to the premises and should probably have a flashlight with you if arriving after nightfall. It's described as being located in Sandy Bay, but it's actually twice the distance from the city centre as the Wrest Point Casino. It takes about two hours to walk. The most horrible thing, however, was the "welcome" sign in the kitchen that spoke of all the things that one must not do. Not that I was planning on trashing the place in the slightest; it's just such an unfriendly gesture. I thoroughly hated every aspect of my stay.

None it isn't a hotel
Full payment required in advance and no refund should have been enough warning A converted carport is not a courtyard appartment and this one comes with very difficult access and no mention of this in the description and no photos of the apartment offered The for sale sign says it all! We could not stay due to my wifes physical disability so I didn't even look inside All credit to the lady who manages the site remotely - she was both assistive and polite - but keys in a key box at the front door and no instruction or prior advice of the required pass code was also pretty shabby I wrote off the $560 and enjoyed far better accommodation elsewhere in Hobart for the same cost! It may suit those looking for a cheap Bed but you will get what you pay for

Iceage in Sandy Bay

Location, Location, Location
Miserable, from the freezing room, to the overstated facilities, this was the weekend from hell, even though we could only stand staying one night. The warmest place to be was in the kitchen area with the stove on. After waiting 15 years for a weekend away together, this was it, not worth the wait.
