No frills hotel, value for money

Breakfast is good for what you paid for, healthy choice available. Room is big enough for luggage and storage.
They deliver what they promised, nothing more nothing less. Good thing was they allow us to check in at 10am way before the check in time which I really appreciate after taking 20hours flight from Asia. The word 'City Center' in the hotel name is rather misleading, its a good 15 to 20 minutes walk to the actual city center. I'm happy with the breakfast choice, not gourmet food but good enough to fill you up with healthy food.

Reasonably priced hotel

Fitness Center, Complimentary Breakfast, Close to monorail
Because of a highway in the middle near John Street, there's a need to do a detour instead of walking diagonally from the monorail, which can be a hassle when we were there as it was raining heavily on the day we checked in. There are nearer hotels to the monorail such as Quality Inn and Best Western. However, overall, Holiday Inn is still good for money.

Comfortable & Large Room

An excellent room (2 x queen size beds) for the price we paid. Walking distance from the Space Needle. The free breakfast had varied food and drink selections.
Our stay at the hotel was so much better than what I initially expected based on reviews that I read before. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We arrived early (around 11am Sept. 15) coming from an Alaskan Cruise and we had so many pieces of luggage with us. The front desk was able to get us a room for an early check-in. We were inside our room by 12nn. The room was large for the 3 of us. Our daughter occupied one bed and my wife & I occupied the other bed. The room is equipped with a large 40" LED TV with adequate channels. Wifi signal was strong in the room. The room had a microwave oven, a coffee maker and a small ref. Upon request, we were even provided with toothbrush, toothpaste and comb. The soap and shampoo came in as a standard. The carpeting is relatively new and the room was very clean with no smell of cigarette smoke. It was our first time in Seattle so we planned to see much the city can offer within 2 days and 2 nights. Upon freshening up, off we went to the Pike Place Market and visited several places in downtown. We had lunch at the Pike Place Chowder. The best clam chowder we had so far. We're back at the hotel after dinner in downtown. The following morning, we had the free buffet breakfast and the selections were good and plenty. Truly the best way to start another day as we headed to the Space Needle & the Boeing Museum of Flight. On our last night, I was able to use the business center to check my emails and print our boarding passes for the following day's flight out of Seattle. All with no charge. We had a grand time in Seattle and a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel.
