Wonderful Hotel About Five Miles Out from Park

Quiet, beautiful Tibetan Decor, Modern Amenities
This hotel is really up to Western standards and beautifully decorated. Rightnext door is Jarpo Tiantown, a local Tibetan village style resort with $60 rustic rooms with few amenities, so one can consider taking a night or two there, but we stayed at Holiday innand took night strolls in the rustic village with quiet streams, best if both worlds. Even in August, need a windbreaker or jacket for cool nights, they sell them locally on the way there in Songpan or Chuanzhusi villages. For the park, huge traffic jams 7-9 am in and 5-8 pm out as tour buses pour in, Arrive 10 am and waltz right in, though some days tickets sold out but can buy fior next day or very cheap from a hawker outside. Busy in summer, best time in Fall foliage for colors, if you can. Best light befire and after noontime, noon lto three little color excdpt for Five Color Lake, akways beautiful shimmering blue!

Nice hotel - Tibetan style

Nice hotel well decorated in tibetan style in a good environment (village) but not living (few restaurants, shops). Food outside the hotel double price than local people Food in the hotel awfull - Despite mentionned in the menu, no western food at all

Stunning architecture in a mountain setting

Stunning modern take on local architecture
The hotel is set within a fabricated modern village that was built in 2005 that used a modern take on traditional Tibeten architecture. Since the 2008 earthquake, the village is mostly empty save for the hotel. While the locals blame the earthquake the poor attention to architectural details have resulted in leaky roofs and huge gaps in doors and windows that render the buildings unusable in winter. The room was reasonably comfortable... it is a large hotel but do not have any rooms with double beds (twin beds only)... we were shocked. When the heating was not up to it, they were quick to bring in an electric heater. Our stay was saved by the diligent service of the english who was able to arrange transport and provide some local knowledge. The rest of the staff only had the most basic of english skills if any.

One of the worst hotel around the area

I regret staying in this hotel at Jiuzhaigou because its location is incovenient, the hotel did not and claimed that it could not provide either heating or hot water outside the hours of 6pm-6am even when the temperature has fallen to below 5 degree.

great hotel with good service
Very good service staff who are able to speak basic english. Rooms are great and very comfortable with very good views of the mountains and valleys. I guess the only bad point is that the shower heater is only available after 5pm till 930am in the morning. Meaning you will not be able to take a bathe other than those times. I would recommend this hotel. Happy customer.
