Has all the necessities for a budget traveller

Nice woodland setting
It was fine, with nice views and basic but adequate amenities, but eerily quiet - height of tourist season and i was almost the only guest, not really sure why. Currently the road on which the hotel sits is a construction site, and it is completely un-lit at night so always carry your flashlight - when you make the one-mile walk back up from Kalaw town centre after dark, you're really going to need it.

comfortable stay in a charming wooden house

quiet surroundings, friendly and helpful staff, good value for money
The hotel is a 10 minutes walk from the village center on a quiet hill surrounded by pine trees. The rooms are decorated in a charming wooden style with excellent hot shower and thick blankets (remember it gets very cold at night). Staff is very friendly and caring.

A nice small hotel away from the main street

Look and feel, location, wooden architecture
We would like to live in the countryside in Myanmar for two nights. We chose this hotel which is away from the main street of the little town of Kalaw. Even though Kalaw is now quite famous for trekking in Myanmar, I did not find anything really special about trekking in Kalaw by comparison to other Southeast Asia or East Asia countries. The stay in this hotel is the best thing in Kalaw for us. It is not expensive comparing with the other very famous mountain resort in Kalaw. We worried that the location would make us hard to access to the main street of Kalaw for dinner at night. However, we found that it was just a 15-minute walk from the hotel to the main street.

Internet funktioniert gut.
