Hotel 7 Mile - efficient, clean, business like
Nicely fitted rooms, clean, good shower/air con
I didnt stay for the view - there really isn't one, but it's a nice Hotel, great place to bed down for the night, quite a way out of the city if you've come for the downtown life. I didn't so it was great for me. Friendly staff, good communication over email if you need to chat about your booking. I'd stay there again. Transport easily available from the front desk or if you wander to the main road (3mins walk) you can catch passing taxis to the airport, downtown, pagodas, etc.. Breakfast was OK, European options available as well as Asian. I didn't get a chance to try out any other meals. Why would I? Yangon has many fine places to eat!

Clean and Reasonable Value
Really good cleaning; little balcony; good wifi
Overall its reasonable value for money, but the room was quite small. Restaurant food was pretty poor with few Myanmar dishes and mostly tailored for foreigners (tasteless)- but only ate once which was enough. The breakfast could have been good, but the food in the Bain Maries was always cold until I complained to reception. Far too many staff in the small breakfast room (I counted 11 one morning) and there was no system in place so no-one knew what to do. They should be given some proper training so they have specific jobs e.g. they could have moved around the tables regularly to top-up up tea and coffee, clear plates away, bring cooked eggs promptly (while they were hot instead of sitting around not sure where). Toast was brought to the table (sometimes) but almost always without cutlery (same with eggs) and often without butter and jam.

Good Clean basic close to airport
Close to airport, small but well maintained rooms,
We stayed here for one night before catching an early morning flight. Its a good location to the airport, clean, nice rooms and perfectly fine for a night or two. Its on quite a busy road an not really within walking distance to much but we managed to find one restaurant near by which was fine.

Good but...
Room quality is good except the washroom door cannot close. Hope breakfast food quality needs to improve.
The hotel charge additional 5% handling fee for payment with credit card. It is too high and no guest will happy on this. The breakfast food quality is not good. It needs to improve. Otherwise, i will try other hotel.

Average 3 nights stay
One of the cheaper hotels in yangoon with basic facility
Pretty much a basic hotel with not much facilities. Uncarpeted room, unpredictable & slow wi-fi connection, fridge that's not working (which we didn't use) and no view (unless you consider next door house as a view). There is only 1 elevator which is pretty modern though it took a while for us to figure out how to operate (u need to finger swipe the glass pane, tapping doesn't work). Breakfast was just average. Once, took a cereal as breakfast but cornflakes pretty much has gone bad. It seems it's all negative however, i think the hotel is already pretty good for Myanmar's standard. Went to one of the top, if not THE top hotpot restauran in Yangoon yet the condition on how they kept their raw food in their big fridge was appalling. Imagine seeing glade air freshener gel(!!!) inside the fridge that also had drips of brownish water stains all over! Well, a lot of improvements needed.
