About Hotel Bayrischer Hof

Constructed in 1856, Hotel Bayrischer Hof's name translates to Bavarian Court, and although its interior is partly modern, it retains a rustic country style. Consistent with the theme, it's only natural that original Baviarian beer from a Munich brewery is served here. With the lively Bismarckplatz just outside, Hotel Bayrischer Hof is located directly opposite the beginning of the Hauptstrabe pedestrian zone that leads directly through the longest shopping mile in Germany to the Old Town and the Castle. The nearby Zimmertheater and the Stadttheater are worth a visit in the evening. In addition, don't miss Billy Blues Texas Barbeque offering savory delights alongside live entertainment acts and featuring Salsa night every Wednesday.

Worst hotel experience ever
Booked two rooms here for a group of 4 lads visiting the Grand Prix weekend at Hockenheim. We had 2 rooms on the first floor at the back of the hotel - NO AIRCON - it was 28o (July) and we had to leave our windows open all nite - the problem with that was theres a Turkish Kebab restaurant (a big one) on the ground floor and the smell of cheap take away food is awful plus the staff prepare the food outside at the back in a yeard just below the windows and are very loud. We asked to move rooms 3 times but the hotel claimed they had no possibility - they said they would speak to their restaurant neighbours but tat had no effect over 4 nights. We booked deluxe double rooms and they were anything but that. Brakfast was in a windowless cellar and very standard. My advice is take another hotel.

No air condition !!!!
Location is somehow good as it is at the entrance to the old town. Getting to the station, you will need to take the tram as it is a bit far away. The design of the room is good but not very clean, towers are a bit old. No view from my room. If you leave luggage, you need to move it to the store room yourself and no control, everyone can access to get your luggage.

Convenient Location
the room is decent and clean but the lobby is a bit small and old. The location is very convenient and it's walkable distance to visit main street areas and shopping areas.

Xmas market, young family
The three best qualities of this hotel 1. The staff, 2. The room size & 3. The variety of choice of food at breakfast.
The purpose of the stay was to visit the Xmas market in the grounds of the Heidelberg Schlosse (castle). We booked the junior suite which had a large double bed and a single bed - plenty of room for us with two children as the youngest slept in with mum and dad. The hotel clearly recognises that some guests maybe disturbed by noise on the street outside as the provide earplugs in the room. Maybe we were lucky but for the two nights we stayed the only thing we heard was the trams early in the morning (which are not loud). The staff were very attentive and cheerful. Special mention to Peter Scmidt who helped us with recommendations, a taxi booking and all other details. We took the breakfast option of EUR 15 per head. It might sound like a lot to some bug definitely worth the money. A wide choice of items, well presented and very tasty. Location wise, we arrived on a train from Frankfurt and with lots of luggage decided a short taxi ride from the station was better at EUR8 each way. From then on, the hotel was in easy walking distance to the Christmas markets at the Castle. We don't normally stay in the same place twice but we would make an exception for the Bayrische and Heidelberg as we were most impressed with the hotel and the town.

It was really worth price!
Clean, Close to scenic spots, Nice services.
We payed about 90,000won per day, per person. It is not a cheap price, but I think it is worth the price. The beds were made everyday like other hotels, and the rooms were cleaned everyday. We used two adjacent rooms, thus the counter lady just let us pay for one-room wifi only. Moreover, the hotel is near Bismarkplatz tram station, which is near the sightseeing spots.

earplugs on your pillows
located between train and old village
hotel was able to accomodate a family of four but each bed had earplugs on the pillow which says it all. The location is very noisy with a transportation hub right out front. That said the earplugs were of German quality and made the room comfortable but do know what you are getting.
