Amazing place but some issues with the pool water
We had a lovely stay at this hotel with our 2 young kids (3 years old and 18 months old), staff is lovely, rooms are amazing, food is really great. The only disappointment was the swimming pool which doesn't have a kid area and the chemicals in the water were extremely aggressive for the eyes. Therefore, we couldn't enjoy it at all.

Average at best for a highly graded hotel
Food average for a 4-5 star hotel but nothing special and breakfast quite good but relatively limited selection for a 4-5 star hotel. During the evening meal ordered wine only to find that the first 3 bottles selected were unavailable- not impressive for the ranking and cost of the hotel.

This was our second stay at red canal and we will certainly return. Beauiful garden, individually equipped and wonderful decorated rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. We had the "complimentarys" (better cmpulsary)Xmas dinner there. The decoration of the garden was extremely careful and lovingly. They had a band which gave their best to entertain the mostly spoiled and elderly guests. Food was good.

The best way to test a hotel is to be ill. I was, and the staff were amazing. Vegetable noodle soup on the house, change of room with no extra charge. The Indian restaurant is great. The evening cocktails are fun. Great massage too. Make sure you specify a room overlooking the garden otherwise they face a wall.

Free cocktails at happy hour were a very nice touch. Only a 5 minute drive to Mandalay Hill and location next to canals was ideal. The best part was the very accommodating staff who handled every request seamlessly.
