Hotel Description

Guests of the Hotel Cosmopolita are made to feel welcome immediately upon check-in. Service at this renovated, 4-star hotel is warm and personal, and the hotel's facilities are indeed first-class. The rooms and suites are luxuriously decorated in keeping with the overall theme of the hotel and feature all the modern amenities expected of today's traveler. Nearby attractions are too numerous to list, though Rome's greatest treasure, the Colosseum, is nearby and should not be missed. Built in the first century, it was the greatest amphitheater of the Roman world, and a guided tour is highly recommended to truly appreciate this wonder of the ancient world.

Great Location but the rest was disappoining

Location,Location ,Location
The Hotel was very well located in easy walking distance of all locations. We were on the top floor and the room was very small and the bathroom was very small also. In fact my partner bruised hereself several times trying to pass the readiator on the wall! breakfast was very basic and not very well presented. The lift is slow and tiny. Holds about 4 people and is on the outside of the wall of the hotel with no aircon so is very hot.

Excellent location, extremely small shower cubicle

location, security
The hotel is situated in an excellent location - we could walk practically to most of the major tourist attractions in Rome and it was sufficiently near the subways. There was a safe box in the hotel room. The shower cubicle, however, is really very small - and I am only about 5 foot 2 and weigh 48 kg, so I am already very small. The hair dryer also kept stopping as it kept overheating though I used the high heat for less than 5 minutes. Each time it stops, I had to wait for a few minutes before it could start again.

Small rooms in need of upgrading

It is convenient to several tourist attractions
We stayed one night after a cruise before heading home. The hotel is rather old and in need of upgrading. Disappointed that wifi was only in the public area and charged. We ended up using the wifi at the restaurants that we ate at. We chose the hotel because it was close to the location where we started our tour. It is an 'okay' hotel but not great.

Grumpy old men at reception but fantastic location

Central to all main attaractions
although this is advertised as an up market hotel the entry level double rooms are bare and unappealing - the air con is turned off on a given day of the year regardless of weather - the breakfast is great but items run out regularly - service is non existent except for the lobby porter who was very helpful.

Nicely located with large rooms

Good location, good service
The hotel was very well located, very close to the attractions, slightly off in a quieter lane. The rooms were large and pretty, breakfast spread was super. We even had dinner at their rooftop restaurant - just about okay I would say. The hotel was very expensive but still had no wifi in the rooms or even in the lobby, which was a small turnoff being a tourist. Overall, I think for the price I paid I would try and find a slightly better hotel in Rome for the next time.

this was a decent hotel in a nice area - would recommend. rooms were spacious and the facilities were very clean. Everything isnt absolutely new - so this is something to bear in mind when deciding to make a reservation.
