Cloud 9 Beds Awesome

The bed, like sleeping on cloud 9, the atmosphere of the hotel, the location
The hotel was a great in every sense. Location, rooms, service, food and of course the king size bed which was like sleeping on cloud 9.

Sweet As Bro in Auckland

Courteousl staff, hotel decor, ambiance
Step back into the 60s when service and comfort were the norm. Welcome to the boutique De Brett hotel. We had a most enjoyable stay - nothing too much trouble - good recommendations for places to go, friendly multi-tasking staff, spotless facilities and excellent dining. Form over function

A pleasant stay with some frustrations. Tub drain hard to miss and therefore open when entering or sitting in the tub. No place to hang towels. No way to keep shower water in the shower. Limited hanging knobs for bathrobes too high to reach.

Absolute charm

Location, service and quality
After an overnight flight, checking into Hotel DeBrett makes it all worthwhile. This charming and cosy boutique hotel makes you feel right at home once you step in. Not forgetting the warm welcome we received from the front desk girls who made check-in easy and quick. There wasn't much of a view from our hotel room but the comfortable bed, well-thought amenities and beautifully-tiled bathroom more than made up for it. The one thing that sets DeBrett apart from the rest of the hotels I have been to so far has to be the retro and quirky decor which absolutely works for Auckland city. Complimentary breakfast is simple with fruit/cereal yoghurt and danish pastries. If you want something warm and hearty, they have a lovely breakfast menu. I headed out for dinner on the first night thinking there might be a good restaurant nearby but it was unnecessary as DeBrett's Kitchen is awesome. Service is good and food is delightful. Being a vegetarian streamlines my choices but the Risotto and vegetarian side dishes were amazing. Portions are pretty big so be mindful unless you want to end up being stuffed like me. Overall, Hotel DeBrett is a great hotel and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
