This former liberty villa dating from the early 1900’s rests on a secluded street lined with oak and orange trees in the elegant and lush residential area of Parioli northeast of the Villa Borghese, and is surrounded by the homes of consulates and diplomats. The Degli Aranci is the embodiment of the expression of the search for a new and modern figurative style in an area where industrial development has been faster and more advanced than elsewhere. Most rooms have tall windows offering views of the eternal city and may come with provincial furnishings or English reproductions; all come with shower-only bathrooms. Facilities include the restaurant "I Lecci" which is divided into two parts, a bright well-lit air conditioned veranda and an "Orange Grove Terrace" where guests may sample a cuisine that changes with the seasons and follows the traditions of the Mediterranean. This hotel has it all and more with excellent restaurants (from elegant and expensive to simple and economical), as well as parks and neighborhood areas where you can take pleasant strolls and get a feel for what the everyday life of Romans is really like. Lovely hotel near Villa Borghese & transportation

Location, staff, and comfort
The hotel is very lovely, richly decorated and very comfortable. We stayed in room 165 which is a front corner of the building. There were some building lights that shone almost directly into one of the windows, however both windows featured switch operated shutters to dim or completely eliminate any light coming into the room. The bathroom was quite large and well appointed. The one downside of the room is that it shares a wall with the lift/elevator shaft and could be a good bit noisy at times. The breakfast buffet seemed slightly limited, although that could simply be as a result of the later time we chose to eat. The staff was exceptionally friendly and provided excellent recommendations for late night dining.

great staying

nice service, great terrace of the room
quite satisfactory, the service is generally good, but the location is not so near the tourist place, the restaurant is just ok, no formal lunch, only paninis.

Average hotel in terrible location

Decent dinner at restaurant, excellent wine recommendation by maitre d
The hotel itself was satisfactory with decent rooms and toilets, although no bathtubs. However, the location was terrible, with nothing to do nearby. Too far to walk, ended up taking taxi almost everyday. Breakfast was decent but the scrambled eggs were chalky and undelicious. Enjoyed the dinner there though (although we probably chose to have dinner there because it was too far away from anywhere else).

Hotel con encanto

Limpio, tranquilo y agradable
Andando a cinco minutos.
