A Home away from Home

Fantastic meals cooked with love, great views from the rooftop, the kindness of Nakul and family
I Recommend Hotel Devachan... Nakul and family were very kind and welcoming; Nakul met me from the airport like he was meeting an old friend. I stayed at Hotel Devachan for 3 weeks in the end, and everytime I did side trips around Nepal, I would look forward to coming 'home' again. It is like a sanctuary, a quiet space away from all the hustle and bustle of the Kathmandu streetlife. The room felt very safe and comfortable. The rooftop has stunning views of Swayambhunath Temple (also called the Monkey Temple) as well as 360 degrees views of Kathmandu that you would not get in Thamel. I enjoyed the garden and eating breakfast on the sunny verandah. I enjoyed the fantastic food cooked by the family, with vegetables sometimes fresh from the garden. And the Tulsi tea or Lemongrass tea, that I drunk every day, made with herbs also straight from the garden. I ate most of my meals at Hotel Devachan, it was good value, as is Hotel Devachan, together with the smiles that are priceless from Nakul and his family. Thankyou and Namaste to you all! Nicola

Nice living experience

Family service, warm. kindness
That is a nice living experience, both of the boss and his family are so nice, they companion with me go to monkey temple in first night. So delicious Chicken MOMO, they give me a nepalian name"Kancha", and I also gave them chinese name. I have stayed there for 5 nights. It is so convince to go to monkey temple, but may you could walk 15min to go to Thmael or take taxi for 5min. That is good in totally, I would be living there next times.
